Baby Sign Language: Prune

Teach your baby the signs for the word prune in baby sign language with the following descriptions and videos.

Prune

American Sign Language lacks a sign for prune. Combine the signs for dry and plum to create a new sign for prune or dried plum.

First sign dry. Form the hand into the signed number one. Move the index finger from one side of the chin to the other while curling up the index finger.

Then sign plum. Form the letter P of the sign language alphabet with one hand. Form the other hand into a fist. Hold the fist in front of the chest with the palm facing towards the body. Touch the middle finger of the P to the pinky of the fist. Slide the middle finger across the back of the hand from the pinky finger to the index finger.
