Baby Sign Language: Vegetable

Vegetables are a healthy food for young children. Teach your baby the signs for the word vegetable in baby sign language with the following descriptions and videos. You may use either sign for vegetable depending on your personal preference.


Form the letter V of the sign language alphabet by holding up the index and middle fingers. Touch the tip of the index finger to the side of the mouth. Rotate the hand over the lips to touch the tip of the middle finger to the other side of the mouth.


Form the signed letter V. Touch the tip of the index finger to the side of the mouth with the middle finger pointed up. Rotate the wrist so that the point to the side. Shake the middle finger.
