Easy Turkey Chili Recipe

Thanksgiving Day dinner has come and gone. If your refrigerator now looks anything like mine, you are left with a plethora of leftover food. I, in particular, have a lot of leftover turkey so I have been looking for easy Thanksgiving dinner recipes for leftovers. My husband and I bought an almost fifteen pound turkey to feed four people, two dogs, and a cat. Needless to say, we have an abundance of leftover turkey.

One yummy and easy Thanksgiving Dinner idea for leftover turkey that you can make is turkey chili. Even if you are left with only small, random pieces of turkey, you can make a delicious turkey chili. Plus, chili is a great food during the late fall and winter when the temperatures are dropping. So, if you have leftover Thanksgiving Day food in your fridge, try the following recipe for turkey chili.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of lean ground turkey
  • 2 cans of chili beans
  • 1 cup of vegetable juice
  • 1 packet of chili seasoning

Directions

  1. Cook the ground turkey in a large pot until browned.
  2. Add the chili beans, vegetable juice, and chili seasoning to the cooked turkey.
  3. Stir thoroughly.
  4. Heat over medium heat until hot and bubbly.
  5. Serve the turkey chili hot.
  6. Refrigerate or freeze any uneaten turkey chili.

I know that I still have a huge plate of turkey in my refrigerator, so I am always on the lookout for recipes for easy thanksgiving dinner leftovers.
