I love making my own wreaths to decorate my front door for each season and holiday. I already have wreaths for most of the other holidays, but I did not have a fun wreath for the summer months. Using my new Ohuhu hot glue gun and some new washi tape from United Tapes that I received to review, I recently made a fun patriotic star wreath in red, white, and blue.
Materials
- Foam wreath
- Red, white, and blue washi tape
- Craft sticks
- Hot glue
- Red, white, and blue acrylic paint
- Paint brushes
- Red, white, and blue ribbon
Instructions
- Wrap the red, white, and blue washi tape around the foam wreath.
- Glue five craft sticks into star shapes using the hot glue.
- After the glue dries, paint the craft stick stars with red, white, and blue acrylic paint.
- After the paint dries, glue the red, white, and blue stars onto the taped foam wreath.
- Weave and glue the red, white, and blue ribbon around the wreath and through the stars.
- Tie and glue a piece of ribbon around the foam circle from which to hang the wreath.
- Display the patriotic star wreath.
