Bear Bakeware Silicone Mini Muffin/Cupcake Pan Review

Bear Bakeware Silicone Mini Muffin/Cupcake Pan Review

I love baking. While I enjoy cake, I tend to prefer cupcakes, which are easy to eat in a few bites. I also love mini cupcakes because I can eat one or two and feel satisfied. I also love making muffins for my family including mini muffins. Until recently, however, I did not own a mini cupcake pan, so I was unable to bake my own miniature cupcakes and muffins. Thus, when recently offered the chance to review a silicone mini muffin/cupcake pan from Bear Bakeware in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity.

The silicone pan from Bear Bakeware currently costs $10.99 on Amazon, which I consider reasonably priced. Other similar mini muffin pans costs around the same price. I would definitely pay $10.99. Made with 100% FDA-approved BPA-free yellow silicone that passes the pinch test, the lightweight and flexible pan allows baked treats to pop out with ease without liners. Each of the twenty-four cups measures 0.75 inches deep with a 1.985 inch diameter at the top and a 1.25 inch diameter at the bottom and a volume of one tablespoon. The entire pan measures 0.79 inches by 9.45 inches by 13.19 inches.

I first used my Bear Bakeware silicone mini muffin/cupcake pan to make some end-of-the-summer watermelon cupcakes. I was able to use the tray twice to make four dozen miniature cupcakes. I did quickly learn that I should fill each cup with only about a tablespoon of batter. When I filled the cups to the top, the cupcake tops over expanded! Once I learned my lesson, I was able to bake perfect mini cupcakes easily. I love that I can make over forty-eight mini treats with a single boxed baking mix and my new silicone pan.

The silicone mini muffin/cupcake pan from Bear Bakeware is heat resistant up to 450° F and can be used in the oven, microwave, and freezer. The silicone is also dishwasher-safe, making cleanup a breeze. You can also wash the pan in hot soapy water by hand, but I prefer to use my dishwasher because I hate washing dishes by hand. I place the pan in the top rack of my machine, and any remaining residue washes away without any effort. I hate scrubbing baked on food from metal pans, so I absolutely love that the silicone pan from Bear Bakeware is so easy to clean and maintain! Storage is also super easy because the flexible silicone folds in half, meaning the pan takes up less space than conventional metal pans.

In addition to the easy cleanup, I love that my tiny baked goods pop out of the silicone pan so easily. With my first batch of cupcakes, I found that I could carefully flip the pan over and pop each cupcake out by gently pressing on the bottom of each cup. My cupcakes cake out perfectly uniform with a perfect moist sponge-like texture. Once I figured out that I needed only a tablespoon of batter in each cup, each cupcake also baked evenly without any crusty sides. I am excited to use my new silicone pan for muffins, brownies, savory treats, and more! If you are a fan of baking and want to make your own miniature desserts, I highly recommend the silicone mini muffin/cupcake pan from Bear Bakeware.
