With two young children, I use multiple washcloths each day to wipe dirty faces, hands, and bums. Of all my washcloths, my favorites by far are made with bamboo material. Bamboo is super soft and super absorbent. Even though I own about two dozen bamboo cloths, I still often find myself in need of more between laundry days. Thus, when recently offered the chance to review an eight-pack of bamboo baby washcloths from Bysco Kids in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity.
Price
An eight-pack of Bysco Kids bamboo baby washcloths currently retails for $29.99 with a sale price of $16.99 on Amazon. At the current sale price, each washcloth costs approximately $2.12. Other similar bamboo washcloths sell for around the same price, with many other brands costing a little more. The washcloths additionally come with a bonus zippered wet bag. Similarly sized wet bags typically run between $10 and $20. I thus rate the current price of this eight-pack plus wet bag extremely positively.
Design
Perfect for babies and adults alike, the bamboo baby washcloths from Bysco Kids consist of thick 32-gram weight organic bamboo. Hypoallergenic and antibacterial, the absorbent bamboo material absorbs up to three times its weight in water. The bamboo fabric is also extra soft and feels like cashmere, meaning no more scratchy cloths that cause skin irritation. The washcloths are machine washable, getting softer with each wash. The eight-pack features four pastel colors: pink, blue, yellow, and green. The premium materials and reinforced stitching make these bamboo washcloths strong and durable. The eight-pack comes with a bonus zipper wet bag with a snap handle. The washcloths measure ten inches by ten inches, and the wet bag measures twelve inches by twelve inches. Bysco Kids offers a 100% money back guarantee.
Performance
I absolutely love my new bamboo baby washcloths from Bysco Kids. First, the material is super soft to the touch. A lot of my cotton washcloths end up feeling a little rough after a few washings. But these bamboo cloths have remained extremely fluffy and comfortable. The washcloths also remain soft when wet, so I can clean even the most delicate skin without causing any irritation. I use these cloths on my two young children and myself. When I have the choice, I reach for my bamboo cloths first, and these remain near the top of my washcloth pile. I rate these washcloths extremely highly in terms of softness.
Washing my Bysco Kids bamboo baby washcloths is no harder than washing the rest of my laundry. I toss the dirty cloths in my laundry basket until wash day. Then I do a warm wash with my inexpensive powdered laundry detergent followed by a cold rinse. I finally toss the clean wet cloths in my dryer with the rest of my laundry and tumble dry for 90 minutes on low heat. The bamboo material comes out clean and soft every time. I therefore rate the bamboo baby washcloths from Bysco Kids extremely highly in terms of ease of laundering.
In addition to the softness and absorbency, I also like the soft pastel colors of the Bysco Kids bamboo baby washcloths. The eight-pack comes with two each of pastel pink, blue, green, and yellow. (The difference in color between the yellow and green is a little hard to see in my photo because I could not find great lighting, but the colors are different.) The light colors make the set a perfect gift for a baby shower. My daughter really loves the pink, which is her favorite color. The mix of pastels makes these super soft washcloths perfect for babies of either sex. Each washcloth measures ten inches by ten inches, which makes these perfect for adults as well. I personally use mine on both my kids and myself. I go through multiple washcloths each day to wipe dirty hands, faces, and bottoms, so I am pleased that my Bysco Kids cloths are full-sized.
Finally, I love the bonus zippered wet bag. I never seem to have enough wet bags in my stash. I particularly like zippered bags for going out-and-about with my kids. I use wet bags to carry dirty cloth diapers when on-the-go. I also use wet bags as lunch bags when taking picnic foods to the park, zoo, and other family outing. The Bysco Kids wet bag measures twelve inches, which is a medium-sized bag. The zipper, handle, snap, and TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) are high quality, so I expect this bag to last for quite a while. I received a blue bag as my bonus, and I really like the color. The color works for boys and girls and looks especially nice in my blue and gray bathroom!
Final Verdict
If you are shopping for a baby shower gift, I highly recommend the eight-pack of Bysco Kids bamboo baby washcloths. The reasonably priced set includes eight 10-by-10 washcloths plus a bonus zippered wet bag. The washcloth pack comes with two each of pastel pink, blue, green, and yellow. The light colors make the set a perfect gift for a baby shower. The washcloths are machine washable and dryable, making laundry day super easy. I use these super soft cloths on my two young children and myself. When I have the choice, I reach for my bamboo cloths first, and my new bamboo baby washcloths from Bysco Kids remain near the top of my washcloth pile!
