I cook with a lot of fresh herbs. I have grown basil and cilantro in my own garden this year, and I love using fresh green onions. I also get a lot of fresh herbs from the many meal subscriptions to which my family subscribes including Blue Apron and Hello Fresh. Fresh herbs simply taste better in most recipes! Until recently, I chopped my herbs by hand with a knife of a cutting board. The job could be quite tedious if I were chopping a bunch. Thus, when recently offered the chance to review a pair of herb scissors from Chefast in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity to add to my kitchen utensils.
The Chefast herb scissors set currently retails for $24.97 with a sale price of $9.97 on Amazon. Other similar herb scissors sell for roughly the same sale price. While I find the full price a little high, I would definitely pay the current sale price, which I rate favorably.
Chefast provides the ultimate herb package with the herb scissors set that includes five-blade scissors, safety cover, cleaning comb, and two drawstring herb bags. The multi-blade scissors consist of food-grade stainless steel for quick and easy cutting and a TPR interior handle designed for an easy and comfortable grip. With the cleaning comb, never leave any mess behind on the blades. Simply insert the tip of the comb between the blades to push off the remaining herbs in a snap! Store your fresh herbs in the two included jute drawstring bags. Chefast offers a lifetime warranty.
I absolutely love my new herb scissors from Chefast! Cutting fresh herbs has never been so easy. I can chop and dice all my favorite herbs in half the time or less compared with using a knife and a cutting board. Plus the pieces are more even. Using the scissors is incredibly easy. Start by removing the safety cover from the ends of the stainless steel blades. The cover protects the blades while simultaneously protects fingers from accidental injuries. After removing the cover, place your herbs between the blades and cut using the same motion as a regular pair of scissors. The handles are quite comfortable to use for any length of time. I love that I can chop up all my fresh herbs so quickly with my new Chefast scissors! Prepping my recipes has never been so simple.
Cleaning the herb scissors is also incredibly easy. The cleaning comb makes removing all the chopped up herbs a breeze. I simply place the tip of the comb between the blades and push out any remaining pieces. I love that I no longer have to try scraping bits and pieces off my cutting board. You can also use the tip of the cover to remove chopped herbs from the blades. I then wash the blades with warm soapy water and allow the metal to dry completely before replacing the safety cover. If I am in a rush and already have a full dishwasher, I will also place the dirty scissors in the cutlery basket in my machine. The scissors come out clean every time. I am very impressed with my new Chefast herb scissors and cannot find anything negative to say except that I wish that I had owned a pair years ago!
If you cook with a lot of fresh herbs, I highly recommend getting a pair of herb scissors from Chefast. The set includes a pair of five-blade herb scissors, safety cover, cleaning comb, and two drawstring herb bags. The multi-blade scissors consist of food-grade stainless steel for quick and easy cutting and a TPR interior handle designed for an easy and comfortable grip. Use the safety cover or cleaning comb to remove all your chopped herbs from the blades. I love that I can chop up all my fresh herbs so quickly with my new scissors. Cleanup is also a breeze. My only complaint is that I had not added a pair of Chefast herb scissors to my kitchen early!
