‘Duck & Goose, It’s Time for Christmas’ Book Review (Day 13 of 25 Days of Christmas)

    25 Days of Christmas

“Goose, it is not time for catching snowflakes,” begins Duck & Goose, It’s Time for Christmas by Tad Hills. The time is also not right for sledding, making snow angels, throwing snowballs, and other fun wintertime activities. Why? Because it is time for Christmas!

After discovering the Duck & Goose books last summer, I immediately fell in love with the adorable characters, Duck and Goose. My daughter, who adores ducks, also fell in love with the series. As a Christmas fanatic, I had to get my hands on the Christmas book of the series by Tad Hills, Duck & Goose, It’s Time for Christmas.

Duck & Goose, It’s Time for Christmas is a simple board book for toddlers, preschoolers, and early readers. The story line is simple, and the language is repetitive, which is important for early language acquisition and reading.

In addition to the simple story, I also love the illustrations in Duck & Goose, It’s Time for Christmas and the Duck & Goose books in general. My daughter particularly liked the cover of Duck & Goose, It’s Time for Christmas because of the rough glitter. She loves running her fingertips over the textured surface. I also love the whimsical pictures throughout the story.

Final Verdict: Duck & Goose, It’s Time for Christmas by Tad Hills is one of my new top Christmas books for the holidays. The story is perfect for young readers and pre-readers. The illustrations are absolutely darling. Duck & Goose is simply a great series of books.
