I have been nursing my two kids for a total of over four years now. During my early months as a nursing mom, I leaked a lot and used disposable nursing pads. However, as soon as I made the switch to cloth diapers when my daughter was three months old, I also made the switch to cloth nursing pads. Even now I still using nursing pads to protect my clothing from leaks. When recently offered the chance to review a ten-pack of reusable nursing pads from ECO-MA in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity.
Price and Design
The ten-pack of reusable nursing pads from ECO-MA with free laundry bag and bandana bib currently costs $17.99 on Amazon with a list price of $40.00. Each pair of pads costs approximately $3.60. Measuring approximately 4 inches in diameter, each washable pad consists of a waterproof outer layer, an inner layer of microfiber, and a top layer of soft bamboo. The bamboo material is super soft and soothes chafed nipples. Unlike cotton, bamboo becomes softer with every wash and absorbs moisture better than other materials. Bamboo is also extremely breathable and does not stick to the skin as easily as other materials. The set of ten nursing pads comes with five colors of leak-proof backing (white, gray, green, blue, pink) and a bonus laundry bag plus a bandana bib. ECO-MA offers a 100% money back guarantee.
I am quite pleased with my new ECO-MA reusable nursing pads. The bamboo layer that rests against my skin is super soft and super absorbent, effectively soaking up any leaked milk. The waterproof baking prevents wetness from forming embarrassingly puddles on my clothing. Even on a day with hot temperatures, these bamboo nursing pads remain cool and comfortable. Even while working outside on my landscaping, I never feel uncomfortable wearing these nursing pads. I therefore rate the reusable nursing pads from ECO-MA extremely highly in terms of comfort and absorbency.
Laundering my ECO-MA reusable nursing pads is easy-peasy. I place the used pads in the laundry bag that came with the set (or another of my zippered delicates bags) in laundry cart until wash day. The laundry bag that comes with this pad set is a nice bonus that makes wash day easier! I wash all my laundry using a warm wash with my inexpensive powdered laundry detergent followed by a cold rinse. I then put all my clean laundry including my clean nursing pads in my dryer and tumble dry for 90 minutes on low heat. The absorbent bamboo material comes out clean and soft every time. I therefore rate the washable nursing pads from ECO-MA extremely highly in terms of ease of laundering.
In addition to the soft and absorbent bamboo material, the main feature that I love about my new ECO-MA reusable nursing pads is the larger size. Each pad measures a little over 4 inches in diameter. The larger pads still fit comfortably in my 34C bra but give me added protection against embarrassing and annoying leaks. I also like the colors on the waterproof backing. The white, gray, green, blue, pink are pretty and feminine. The edges are serged to prevent unraveling. I thus rate the design of the reusable nursing pads from ECO-MA extremely highly.
If you are a fellow breastfeeding mom shopping for new reusable nursing pads, I highly recommend the ten-pack from ECO-MA. Super absorbent and leak-proof, these washable nursing pads consist of microfiber sandwiched between super soft bamboo material and a leak-proof backing. The white, gray, green, blue, pink colors of the waterproof backing are pretty and feminine. The bamboo side feels super comfortable against my delicate skin and effectively soaks up any leaked milk. Washing the nursing pads is as easy as washing the rest of my laundry. I also love the size, which is larger than many of my other washable nursing pads at a little over four inches across. My new ECO-MA reusable nursing pads are among my favorite washable pads in my collection!
