My Favorite All-in-One Cloth Diapers

My Favorite All-in-One Cloth Diapers

When I began using cloth diapers three years ago, I started with all-in-twos and a pocket diaper. Over the years, I have come to realize that I hate pocket diapers and love all-in-twos and covers. More recently, I really started loving all-in-ones. Last summer I purchased a few to try on my daughter. After the birth of my son, I bought even more because the styled worked on him so well. Thus, if asked to recommend a style to a new cloth diaperer, I would definitely recommend the all-in-one, specifically my four current favorite brands.

Imagine One-Size Stay-Dry All-in-One

The first all-in-one cloth diaper that I highly recommend is the Imagine One-Size Stay-Dry All-in-One. At only $12.95 per diaper at Nicki’s Diapers, the Imagine all-in-one is an incredibly economical option. The diaper comes in both snap and hook and loop closure and offers a four-layer microfiber insert topped with polar fleece. The interior is also lined with super soft polar fleece to wick away moisture. Washing and drying is quick and easy because of the synthetic materials. I have not had any major problems with leaks with the Imagine One-Size Stay-Dry All-in-One on either my daughter or my son.

Smart Bottoms Smart One One-Size Organic All-in-One

My second favorite all-in-one is the Smart Bottoms Smart One One-Size Organic All-in-One. At $29 per diaper, Smart Bottoms are more expensive than other brands. However, the diaper consist of 100% organic cotton for a trimmer, more absorbent diaper. The attached insert folds to provide up to ten layers of customizable absorbency. The tongue-style insert means that the all-in-one dries faster than other styles of all-in-one diapers with natural fibers. I also love the fun prints and colors. The Smart Bottoms Smart One works great on both my kids, so I highly recommend the all-in-one as a higher end organic option.

Diaper Junction One-Size All-in-One

During the Black Friday sales last year, I purchased a couple Diaper Junction One-Size All-in-One cloth diapers, and I immediately fell in love with the brand. At $9.95 each at Diaper Junction, the all-in-ones are incredibly affordable. With a TPU exterior and a microfleece interior, the diaper provides absorbency while offering a stay dry feeling. I primarily use the Diaper Junction One-Size All-in-One on my son, but the all-in-one works well on my daughter too.

bumGenius Freetime One-Size All-In-One

When I first started experimenting with all-in-one diapers last summer, I purchased a bumGenius Freetime One-Size All-in-One. I was a fan of the Flip cover, and Cotton Babies makes both brands. The Freetime contains Stay Dry and microfiber, with two inserts that also loose on one side each on the interior of the diaper. Washing and drying the synthetic fibers is incredibly easy and takes only a few hours. At $19.95 each, the Freetime is a big more expensive than other comparable brands, but I love the fit and absorbency on both my infant and my preschooler.

Thirsties One-Size All-in-One

While shopping the Black Friday sales last fall, I also purchased a limited edition Black Friday one-size all-in-one from Thirsties. At $18.95 each, the diaper is also on the pricier side for a synthetic-fiber all-in-one. The exterior is PUL, and the interior features a Stay-Dry microfleece liner that keeps baby feeling dry. Because of the synthetic materials, washing and drying the Thirsties all-in-one is incredibly easy. Although I currently own only one Thirsties One-Size All-in-One that I primarily use on my son, I hope to add some more to my stash in the near future.
