Fall has finally arrived in my neck of the woods, which means winter will soon be here as well! My kids and I love getting outside in all types of weather including cooler temperatures. Boots are a must when my kids and I venture out in the cold to play at the park or walk to the library. When recently offered the chance to review a pair of pink sheepskin winter boots and a pair of red sheepskin winter slipper boots from Cool Beans in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity to outfit my kids in new cold-weather footwear.

The fluffy cuffs can be worn up or down, and laces allow for custom tightness around the ankles. Performance
I received the size 12 Cool Beans pink sheepskin winter boots for my daughter and the size 6 Cool Beans red sheepskin winter slipper boots for my son. My daughter currently wears a size 11 shoe, so her boots are slightly big on her at the moment. However, I wanted to go up a size so that she would have a little room to grow and so that she could wear multiple socks during the coldest winter days. My son currently wears a size 5.5 or 6 shoe, and his pair of boots fits him nearly perfectly. I therefore found that the sizes of the boots are pretty true and accurate compared to other footwear sizing.
My daughter loves the color pink, so she is absolutely thrilled with her new pink sheepskin winter boots from Cool Bean. Her old pair of pink boots wore out last winter, so she was excited for a new pair. She was so excited, in fact, that I had to stop her from wearing her new cozy boots when the weather was still in the 80s and 90s. The natural sheep wool lining keeps her feet cozy and warm. She also loves the super soft feel inside the boots. The soles are flexible but offer quite a bit of traction. My daughter is quite clumsy (just like her mother), so she often slips and trips when she is walking. So far she has not had any tumbles in her new boots, even when running! She and I both also love that she can quickly and easily slip the boots on and off her feet without hassling with zippers or buckles.
The red sheepskin winter slipper boots from Cool Beans are absolutely adorable on my son. He just turned 2, so I still wear him in a baby carrier a lot when out and about. He also rides in a stroller when his little legs get tired from running after his big sister. His new slipper boots are therefore perfect for him this winter. The natural sheep fur on the inside keeps his tootsies super warm and comfortable. I love that I can flip the cuffs up to keep his ankles warmer, although he prefers to wear the cuffs rolled down. At first I was unsure of the laces on the front, but I quickly realized that tying the little boots helped make for a snugger fit that my son could not easily take off. I do have to double-knot the laces or else the bow comes undone because of the smooth lace material. However, once I double knot the strings, the bows stay firmly in place until I undo the boots. My son can easily walk in his new footwear, and he absolutely loves his new fuzzy boots!
