My family loves rubber ducks! My kids have a huge box of rubber ducks in our playroom. I have handmade duck-oration wreaths for every season of the year that I hang in my house. A rubber duck even accompanies me on vacations and outings. Halloween is one of our favorite holidays. When recently offered the chance to review some Halloween rubber ducks from Wild Republic in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity. I received the Pumpkin Scarecrow, Frank, and Vampire.
Price and Design
Perfect for kids aged 3 and older, the rubber ducks from Wild Republic currently cost $6.99 each with a list price of $9.99. Each duck measures a whopping 4 inches and floats in water. Wild Republic rubber ducks are also mold-free due to a special hole-less design. Made in China, the ducks conform to safety requirements ASTM F963 and EN71.
Evaluation
When I first opened the box that contained my new Halloween rubber ducks, my youngest daughter squealed in delight. Her big brother said, “Aw, those ducks are cute!” My youngest then proceeded to excitedly shout, “Cute! Cute!” while eagerly pointing at the ducks. My son added that the Halloween ducks are spooky but not too scary. My oldest daughter thought that the new ducks were perfect for our collection because we do not have a lot of Halloween-themed ducks.
I keep most of our rubber ducks away from water because I do not want to deal with mold growing inside. I thus appreciate the hole-less design of the Wild Republic ducks. My kids can bring the Pumpkin Scarecrow, Frank, and Vampire into the tub without my having to worry about any nastiness populating the interior. The ducks still float upright on the water even without a hole in bottom.
My kids are absolutely delighted with our new Halloween-themed rubber ducks. My youngest two took off with the three ducks as soon as I finished taking pictures. I personally love the detail on each duck. I like all three, but Pumpkin Scarecrow is my favorite. I love the little pumpkin head atop the scarecrow body. My son likes the teeth and tie on the Vampire. All three Halloween ducks are awesome holiday additions to our rubber ducky collection!
