LightsEtc Warm White Globe Outdoor Solar LED Lights Review

I am a bit obsessed with solar lights. I love that I can put lights almost anywhere in my yard with full sun most of the day without having to run new wiring or extension cords. I also love decorating with Christmas lights. I adorn my entire home with lights in during the winter holidays, but I also like putting out other lights for the other holidays and seasons of the year. Thus, when recently offered the chance to review a strand of warm white globe outdoor solar LED lights from LightsEtc in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity.

Price

The LightsEtc warm white globe outdoor solar LED lights currently retail for $27.99 with a sale price of $12.99 on Amazon. Comparable plug-in LED lights with twenty bulbs typically cost around $8 to $10 per strand. However, the LightsEtc strand is solar powered, which saves me money in the long run. I would therefore definitely pay the current sale price for this strand of solar LED outdoor lights.

Design

Perfect for outdoor use in all kinds of weather including rain and snow, the waterproof warm white globe outdoor solar LED lights from LightsEtc produce 8 to 10 hours of continuous lighting when charged in full sun for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours. The twenty round crystal ball globe lights add warmth and charm to any occasion. By converting solar energy into electricity, the solar panel charges the battery during the day and the built-in sensor turns on the light automatically at dusk. You do not need to worry about wiring or increased electrical costs. The simple solar panel features two switches and one stake for installing the panel in the ground. One switch turns the lights on and off while the second switches between continuous on and flashing modes. The dark green strand measures 15.7 feet in length.

Performance

Preparing my new strand of warm white globe outdoor solar LED lights from LightsEtc for use was incredibly easy. As recommended by the company, I first charged the solar panel in direct sunshine for 12 hours starting in the early morning of a summer day. To charge the lights initially, press the on/off button on the solar panel to on and then leave the panel facing towards the noon sun. By the night of that first day, the battery had fully charged and the lights were ready for use. The battery does require 12 hours for the initial charge, so, if you plan to purchase this strand during the winter, you will need to allow the solar panel to charge for at least two days before first use.

After fully charging the solar panel for the first time, I decided to wrap the strand of lights around the trunk of a tree in my backyard. I started by placing the stake into the ground in a spot near the base of the tree that receives direct sunlight for most of the day. I then wrapped the strand around the trunk, taking care not to damage the wire. I did notice that the globe lights became tangled more easily than my smaller LED Christmas lights, but I was able to untangle the snags fairly easily. I then selected my desired lighting mode (continuous on or flashing) and walked away. The lights automatically turn on at nightfall, and then the battery charges again the next day. I never have to worry about turning the lights on or off, which makes the warm white globe outdoor solar LED lights from LightsEtc extremely easy to use.

Final Verdict

I am incredibly pleased with my new strand of warm white globe outdoor solar LED lights from LightsEtc. After initially charging the solar panel fully for 12 hours, the battery lasts well into the night. I love that I can put the strand anywhere in my yard with full sun instead of needing to run extension cords through my grass. The stake secures the solar panel into the ground, and hanging the lights was fairly easy. The lights come with two lighting modes (continuous on or flashing), which allows me to customize my light display. The solar panel charges the battery during the day and the built-in sensor turns on the light automatically at dusk, so I never have to worry about turning the lights on or off. If you are a fan of Christmas lights and are shopping for a solar powered option, I definitely recommend the strand of LightsEtc warm white globe outdoor solar LED lights.
