Lomon Colorful Rectangles Ankle Socks Review

I love socks, especially socks with fun colors and prints. My kids also enjoy fun socks and always seem to need new pairs to complete their wardrobes. When recently offered the chance to review five pairs of Lomon colorful rectangles ankle socks in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity. The five-pack currently costs $10.99, which comes to approximately $2.20 a pair. Other five packs of similar ankle socks typically cost between $9 and $10, so I find the price of the Lomon socks a little bit more expensive but not completely outrageous.

The colorful rectangles ankle socks from Lomon consist of 60% cotton, 28% polyester, 10% nylon, and 2% spandex. The product description claims that the socks, which measure around 4.3 inches lying flat on the ground, fit children between the ages of 3 and 5. I intended to give the socks to my daughter, who is 4.5 years old. However, the sizing definitely runs extremely small. My 22-month-old son fits into the sock perfectly. He currently wears a size 5.5 shoe, meaning he is on the smaller side for his age. Based on my kids, I consider these socks to be toddler socks rather than socks for the average 3- to 5-year-old.

Aside from the sizing issue, I really love the colorful geometric designs on the five pairs of ankle socks from Lomon. Each pair features five colors. My daughter says that the colors are fun, and my son enjoys pointing at the different colored rectangles. If the socks were available in a larger size, I would definitely get some for myself! The socks are cut as ankle socks. My daughter can fit into a pair, but the bottom is quite tight across her feet, making the socks pinch her toes. On my son, the socks come up to his ankle bone. As the weather starts to turn cooler, I will definitely put these five pairs on him!

Each pair of socks came with two metal clips and three plastic tags, which I found to be a bit overkill in terms of packaging However, washing the Lomon colorful rectangles ankle socks is incredibly easy. As with all my kiddos’ socks, I place the dirty Lomon socks in a mesh laundry bag that I keep in my laundry basket until wash day. I then machine wash the socks with the rest of my laundry on wash with my inexpensive powdered detergent followed by a cold rinse. I then put the clean laundry in my dryer for 90 minutes on low heat. The socks come out clean every time without any added work. While I disagree with the recommended sizing, overall I am pleased with colorful rectangles ankle socks from Lomon. My toddler son will wear all five pairs this fall and winter.
