I can usually tell when my kids are running fevers when sick by feeling their heads. However, I still like to double check with a thermometer, especially when their temperatures seem high. Performance
I am pleased with the performance of my new digital infrared ear thermometer from LotFancy. Rather than pulling out an oral, rectal, or axillary thermometer to check my kids for fevers, I can pull out my new ear thermometer for an initial temperature reading. The thermometer is easy to use with a simple press of a button. Simply place the probe in the ear and press the SCAN button. After only a second, the thermometer beeps and displays the temperature reading on the large LCD screen. I can also recall the last ten readings by pressing the MEM button. Automatically on the eleventh memory, the thermometer starts recording over the previous readings, so I never have to remember to go in and delete old temperatures.
My LotFancy digital infrared ear thermometer is my new go-to thermometer at the first sign of fever in my house. So far, the temperature readings have been pretty accurate. When I take my temperature on an average day, the reading hovers in the high 97s and low 98s °F, which is my typically temperature range. When I had a low fever about two weeks ago, the thermometer accurately gave me a reading of 100 °F. When my kids get sick, I can more easily use this ear thermometer for an initial temperature check instead of pulling out one of my more invasive thermometers. As a parent, I find the LotFancy ear thermometer extremely handy!

The probe is also easy to clean with a cotton swab and a little rubbing alcohol. One CR2032 lithium battery came included and installed. The display provides a low-battery alert. Overall, I am quite pleased with my new ear thermometer.
