Before I had kids, I enjoyed wearing a full face of makeup. In addition to black eyeliner and silvery eye shadow, I loved red color that matched my red nail color. Now that I have two young children running around with me, I tend to skip most of my makeup and stick to sunscreen and moisturizer. I do still love to put on lip balm and sometimes a little bit of lip color. I still love red on my lips the best, and I prefer lip stains over lip sticks. When recently offered the chance to review the LipSense starter collection from Kerry’s Kissable Lip Color in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity to add a pop of color to my look.

An amazing departure from conventional lipsticks and lip colors currently on the market, LipSense is a lip color that is waterproof, kiss-proof, smudge-proof, and budge-proof that lasts 4 to 18 hours. The long-wear lip color bonds to the lips and is worn with a moisturizing shea butter gloss that transfers thru the color to hydrate the lips and keep the color on. The patented formulation technology includes cosmetic-grade denatured alcohol and color pigments. The denatured alcohol immediately evaporates from the skin upon application of the lip color to the skin. The LipSense moisturizing gloss then enhances the long-lasting properties of LipSense and moisturizes the lips. LipSense also provides a natural shield from the sun by creating a mechanical covering for the lips. I received a LipSense starter collection in Blu-Red, which comes with color, gloss, and remover. LipSense comes in a wide variety of shades and textures.

Evaluation
When I first received my LipSense starter collection in Blu-Red from Kerry’s Kissable Lip Color, I was immediately impressed by the bright red color of colored LipSense. I opened the package in the evening but wanted to apply the color to my lips right away. Applying the lip color is super easy. After shaking the tube, apply three layers of the colored LipSense to your clean, dry lips. Allow each layer to dry for five to thirty seconds before applying the next layer. Applying three thin layers produces the best long-lasting results. Once the third layer dries, liberally apply the LipSense moisturizing gloss to extend the life of the color and keep your lips moist and plump. Reapply the gloss as needed throughout the day.
Removing the LipSense color is just as easy. Begin by wiping off any remaining gloss with a dry cloth. Then apply the Ooops Remover over the lip color liberally. Leave the remover on your lips for 30 seconds and then rub your lips together. Finally use a damp cloth to wipe away the color. You may need to repeat the process two to four times to fully remove the color from your lips. I typically use the remover to take off most of the color from my lips and then wash my face with my face wash, which removes any residual red from my lips. I always finish off the cleansing process with more gloss as recommended or another lip balm to keep my lips moisturized. The Ooops Remover also smells like vanilla, which is an added bonus.
What I like most about LipSense is how easy the lip color is to apply. As a busy mom of two even busier young children, I do not have a lot of time to spend putting on makeup. I require a lip color that is easy to put on and easy to take off. LipSense is perfect for moms-on-the-go. When I get ready in the morning, I can easily and quickly apply the three layers of color and then swipe on the moisturizing gloss. I usually put on lip balm multiple times throughout the day, so, when I am wearing LipSense, I reapply the gloss instead.
Most importantly, LipSense truly offers long-lasting lip color! For example, I put the color on around 10:30 in the morning and reapplied the gloss a few times as needed. The bright red color stay put through lunch and well into the afternoon. A little bit began to rub off only as I wiped my mouth with a napkin during dinner at around 6 o’clock. As promised, the color lasts for at least 4 hours without smudging or budging. I definitely feel like I can put my LipSense on before I leave the house and not have to worry about the color smearing onto my skin or wiping off throughout the day. I have always been a fan of lip stains, and I am incredibly impressed with the LipSense starter collection from Kerry’s Kissable Lip Color!

Unlike conventional lipsticks and lip colors, LipSense is a long-wear lip color that is waterproof, kiss-proof, smudge-proof, and budge-proof that lasts 4 to 18 hours. Initial application of the color and gloss is super easy, taking only a matter of minutes. Reapplying the gloss throughout the day is no problem because I am, as I have admitted, a lip balm addict. Removal with the Ooops Remover makes cleanup a breeze! As a busy mom of two young children who are always on the go, I am definitely a new fan of LipSense from Kerry’s Kissable Lip Color!
