I nursed my daughter for two and a half years and have been nursing my son for almost twenty-one months. When you have spent over four years of your life breastfeeding, you understand the importance of a comfortable nursing bra. I have tried many different styles and have found that I prefer unpadded bras without underwires. Most of my comfortable nursing bras cost a minimum of $20 with some costing as much as $40 or more. Although I am a savvy shopper, I am not one to cut costs on bras, especially while breastfeeding. I consider the Mamaway nursing reasonably priced. This nursing bra is not the least expensive that I own but is also not the most expensive. I would definitely pay the current sale price and would also pay the retail value for such a comfortable nursing bra.
Design

The buttery soft NILIT Nylon 6.6 fibers are strong enough to withstand constant pulling, stretch up to three cup sizes, and retain its shape wash after wash. Integrated with Meryl Skinlife fibers and silver microparticles that offer special anti-bacterial and anti-odor properties, the lightweight bra prevents bacteria from growing on the fabric, thus protecting against odors and germs. The crossover design and stretchy cups provide great structural support and pressure-free comfort. Wide shoulder straps offer additional shoulder and back support. The wide under-bust design helps prevent roll-ups. The stabilizing ballet back design with hook and eye closure makes the bra easy to put on and take off. The lack of underwire also helps prevent pressure points that can cause blocked ducts and mastitis. Performance
Over my four plus years of breastfeeding, I have tried many different styles of nursing bras. While I like the comfort and flexibility that the crossover design offers, I also prefer a bra that closes in the back with multiple hooks and eyes. Sports bras usually provide the support and comfort that I crave but usually lack closures. The Mamaway antibacterial crossover sleeping and nursing bra offers me the best of my favorite sports bras with the convenience of a back closure bra. I received the nude color, which I have come to prefer under all my clothing, but the bra is also available in light blue with white edging and brown. The nude is perfect for women with lighter skin tones such as myself while the brown works similarly for women with darker skin. The blue and white version provides a pop of color for women who want a less neutral color. I also love the hook and eye closure on the back, which makes putting the bra on and taking it off easier. The bra has three rows of two hooks. I currently use the smallest setting of the medium size.
When I first opened my antibacterial crossover sleeping and nursing bra from Mamaway, I immediately noticed the super soft feel of the material. The combination of 91% Nylon and 9% Spandex makes for a buttery smooth fabric that never feels rough against the skin. I vividly remember the soreness that accompanies breastfeeding a newborn for the first time. During the first few weeks after the birth of my daughter, my nipples were incredibly sensitive. I quickly set aside my sexier and lacier bras for more practical designs. The material of my new Mamaway always feels so soft against my skin. In addition to the softness, I also love the stretchy design of the antibacterial crossover sleeping and nursing bra from Mamaway. Now that I have been breastfeeding my babies for over four years, my body has evened out for the most part. However, when I first started nursing my daughter, I shrank and swelled dramatically during and between feedings. Wearing a tight bra was out of the picture. I can even put cloth nursing pads in the bra without feeling squished. I honestly wished that I had owned this bra when I first started breastfeeding. I received the medium size of the crossover nursing bra from Mamaway. I currently wear a 34C bra, and I have found that I usually fit into other medium sized bras. The medium fits me well, and I currently use the smallest setting of the hook and eye closures. The bra is comfortably snug and fits me well. I really love the wider shoulder straps, which never dig into my skin. The wider chest band is also quite comfortable and never rolls up under my clothes. The front crossover design also makes feeding my son extremely easy. I can simply move the stretchy cup to the side to allow my baby easy access while nursing. I am extremely pleased with the design of the Mamaway sleeping and nursing bra.
Laundering my new Mamaway antibacterial crossover sleeping and nursing bra is incredibly easy. With the stretchy cups and lack of underwire, I feel confident about machine washing this bra. I place the dirty bra in a delicates bag with baby socks and nursing pads and wash my laundry on warm with my inexpensive powdered detergent followed by a cold wash. I then machine dry all my laundry on delicate (low heat). The bra comes out clean every time and is holding up its shape and flexibility perfectly wash after wash. You can also hand wash the bra, but I have found that using my washing machine is most convenient and launders the nursing bra just fine.
