Disclosure: I received a sample of Nite Ize Gear Ties as part of an advertorial.
What household is not filled with cords for computers, phone chargers, digital cameras, tablets, lamps, televisions, and other electronic devices? I usually use rubber bands, twist ties, and zip ties to organize my cords — if I organize the cords at all. Having previously reviewed some LED lights from Nite Ize, I eagerly accepted an opportunity to review the Nite Ize Gear Ties. Could Nite Ize help me organize the mess of electrical cords around my house?
I received an eight-pack of Nite Ize Gear Ties to receive. The variety pack included two three-inch ties, two six-inch ties, two twelve-inch ties, and two eighteen-inch ties in various colors (black, red, orange, green, blue).
Nite Ize Gear Tie technology makes getting organized and staying organized easy. Made with a bendable wire interior and a durable soft rubber exterior, Gear Ties are the perfect solution for containing and organizing medium to long cords and cables, hair dryers, kitchen appliances, game console cords, and any other electronic items you use each day. Gear Ties are colorful, reusable, and water-proof.
Upon receiving my Nite Ize Gear Ties, I immediately set to work organizing some clutter electrical cords around my house. One of the biggest messes is the cords on my desk that charge my computer, iPhone, iPad, and camera and that powers my clock. The cords were shoved against the back of the desk, sort of organized with a few rubber bands. With the Gear Ties, I easily organized the cords. Now I can quickly grab the right cord that I need without one cord getting all tangled up in the other cords.
My second organization project involved the extension cord in my bedroom. Because the outlet nearest my nightstand is behind the headboard of my bed, I must use an extension cord to access the power. Unfortunately, my shortest extension cord is too long. To clean up the mess of a cord next to my bed, I used a Nite Ize Gear Tie to secure the extra extension cord to my nightstand. Now the cord is safely up off the floor.
In addition to organizing power cords, Nite Ize Gear Ties have endless other uses. For example, during the holidays, I put up a ton of Christmas lights. To make the ends meet, I use old twist ties to hold the lights together. However, the three-inch Nite Ize Gear Ties would be perfect for my Christmas decorating needs. Plus, the green ties would blend in with the green of the Christmas light cords.
My toddler daughter also found the Nite Ize Gear Ties quite interesting. When not in use elsewhere, Gear Ties could make for fun construction materials for kids. My daughter had fun bending the ties this way and that. She also used one of the longer ties to pretend that she had “ear plugs.”
Final Verdict: If you, like many others including myself, find yourself with piles of disorganized and jumbled electrical cords around your house, then Nite Ize Gear Ties are the solution to your problem. The colorful, reusable, water-proof, bendable ties make organizing loose cords easy. Plus, Gear Ties have never-ending additional uses. As my toddler proves, the only limitation is your imagination. I highly recommend Nite Ize Gear Ties!
I received a sample of Nite Ize Gear Ties as mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
