    Nite Ize LED Review

    Nite Ize

As a mother of a toddler, safety is a top priority for me. Therefore, when Nite Ize recently approached me about reviewing an LED safety light, I jumped at the opportunity. With earlier nights as winter approaches and especially with trick or treating in a few days, I am on the lookout for easy-to-use products that keep my family safer in the dark.

    Nite Ize LED Lights

I received four LED lights from Nite Ize to review: Nite Ize SlipLit LED Slap Wrap, Nite Ize ClipLit, White Nite Ize SpotLit Carabiner Light, and Orange Nite Ize SpotLit Carabiner Light. The SlipLit LED Slap Wrap slaps onto the wrist, ankle, or any other rounded surface such as a stroller handle. The ClipLit and SpotLit lights clip onto key chains, zippers, and many other objects.

Right off the bat, I must mention the quality of all four Nite Ize LED lights. My toddler daughter helped me test out all four lights. Not only did she throw the lights around, but she also bent the Slap Wrap backwards in the wrong direction and bit all three smaller lights. Despite the rather rough abuse from a toddler, all four LED lights remain in excellent working condition. I feel confident that safety lights from Nite Ize will last a good long while. I could even clip the SpotLit or ClipLit on my key chain without worry — and my poor keys take quite a beating each and every day!

All four Nite Ize LED lights are also super easy to use. The SlipLit LED Slap Wrap and SpotLit Carabiner Lights have buttons to push for activation. Press once to turn on a constant glow. Press again for a pulsing light. Press a third time to shut the light off. The ClipLit turns on and off by twisting. The buttons need a firm push to work, which ensures that the lights will not accidentally get turned on or off. My toddler daughter even figured out how to turn the lights on and off by biting down on the center of the SpotLit Carabiner Lights. (Note: I was closely supervising her use of the lights. Do not leave a young child alone with the smaller lights, as the smaller pieces pose as choking hazards.)

As for brightness, all four lights are exceptionally bright for such small sizes. The plain white light of the White Nite Ize SpotLit Carabiner Light is definitely the brightest, but the other three as also bright enough to serve as safety lights. Additionally, the lights come in a variety of colors and designs, not just the four that I received to review. Each battery lasts for twenty-four hours and is incredibly easy to replace.

Final Verdict: In a few days on Halloween, I will definitely be using all four of my new Nite Ize LED lights to help keep my family safe in the dark. After Halloween, I will clip one of the SpotLit Carabiner Lights onto my key chain so that I do not have to hunt around in my purse in the dark anymore. Taking the durability with the brightness and ease-of-use of the Nite Ize LED lights, I highly recommend all three styles if you are in the market for a safety light. The SlapLit is especially fun for older kids!
