The weather has been soupy hot in my neck of the words for the past couple of days. To keep cool during the day, my kids and I have been heading to the local swimming pool. When recently offered the chance to review a retro vintage one-piece monokini cut-out swimsuit from OULISI in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity. I excitedly donned the yellow version on my most recent trip to the pool.

Design
Made with 82% Nylon and 18% Spandex, the retro vintage one-piece monokini cut-out swimsuit from OULISI is available in black, rose red, green, and yellow. The entire front of the suit is lined to prevent accidental exposure when wet. The underwire on the padded cups on the push-up style bust offers support. The cut-out sides provide a retro feel while a wide band across the stomach offers adequate coverage. Adjustable straps tie around the back and at the neck. The halter top additionally features ruching in the front that provides a slimming appearance. The bow tie on the front is adjustable and detachable. The suit is available in medium, large, and extra large. The brand does warn that the swimsuit runs small and to choose one size up.
Performance
I received the yellow retro vintage one-piece monokini cut-out swimsuit from OULISI in the extra large size. I am a petite woman at five feet one inch and 110 pounds. I typically wear a size 4 or 6, and the extra large swimsuit fits me perfectly. I definitely agree that the sizing runs small. I would call the medium an extra small, the large a small, and the extra large a medium. Women much larger than me will not fit into the extra large size, so definitely be aware of the inconsistency in sizing. However, regardless of the size name problem, my suit fits me quite comfortably.
The stretchy material of the retro vintage one-piece monokini cut-out swimsuit from OULISI is soft and comfortable but not too sheer. The front is lined in white, which gives me additional coverage. However, I do wish that the bum were also lined. Although a quick check in the mirror assures me that I am well covered in the back, I would feel a bit more confident with that extra layer of lining. I am not generally a fan of yellow, but I like the shade of this swimsuit, and I think the color goes well with my skin tone.
I also like the design of the OULISI retro vintage one-piece monokini cut-out swimsuit. Before kids, I was perfectly comfortable in tankinis and bikinis. After having two babies, I came to prefer a swimsuit with a bit more coverage. The cut-out design of this swimsuit covers me enough while still showing off a little bit of my curves. The one-piece design also ensures that my young children cannot easily pull any part down! The neck and back ties allow me to adjust the fit. Overall, I am quite pleased with my new swimsuit from OULISI.
