Fine Motor Skills: Pumpkin Painting
Materials
- Small pumpkins
- Nontoxic paint
- Paintbrushes
Directions
- Decorate the small pumpkins using the paint and various sizes of paintbrushes.
Gross Motor Skills: Pumpkin Chucking: Toss small pumpkins around outside.
Craft/Activity 1: Paint Chip Jack O’ Lantern (http://lizoncall.com/2012/10/11/paint-chip-halloween-craft/)
Materials
- Orange paint chips
- Black construction paper
- Glue or glue stick
Directions
- Cut the black construction paper into mouth, nose, and eye shapes.
- Glue the shapes onto the paint chips to Jack o’ lanterns.
Craft/Activity 2: Recycled Container Jack o’ Lanterns
Materials
- Clean food and beverage containers
- Black paper
- Glue
- Scissors
- Glow sticks
Directions
- Clean and remove any labels from the containers.
- Cut the black paper into Jack o’ lantern face shapes.
- Glue the faces onto the containers.
- Place a glow stick in each container on Halloween.
