  • Small pumpkins
  • Nontoxic paint
  • Paintbrushes

Directions

  1. Decorate the small pumpkins using the paint and various sizes of paintbrushes.

Gross Motor Skills: Pumpkin Chucking: Toss small pumpkins around outside.

Craft/Activity 1: Paint Chip Jack O’ Lantern (http://lizoncall.com/2012/10/11/paint-chip-halloween-craft/)

Materials

  • Orange paint chips
  • Black construction paper
  • Glue or glue stick

Directions

  1. Cut the black construction paper into mouth, nose, and eye shapes.
  2. Glue the shapes onto the paint chips to Jack o’ lanterns.

Craft/Activity 2: Recycled Container Jack o’ Lanterns

Materials

  • Clean food and beverage containers
  • Black paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Glow sticks

Directions

  1. Clean and remove any labels from the containers.
  2. Cut the black paper into Jack o’ lantern face shapes.
  3. Glue the faces onto the containers.
  4. Place a glow stick in each container on Halloween.
