Craft/Activity 1: Little Letter H Book

Materials

  • Little Letter H Book template (http://www.themeasuredmom.com/little-letter-h-book-rhymes-songs/)
  • Blank paper
  • Stapler

Directions

  1. Print the Little Letter H Book template onto the blank paper.
  2. Cut an even line across the center of the page.
  3. Fold the two sheets to make a book.
  4. Staple the book together.
  5. Read the Little Letter H Book.

Craft/Activity 2: Heart Person Craft (http://www.themeasuredmom.com/letter-h-crafts/)

Materials

  • Red and pink construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers

Directions

  1. Cut one large heart and four small hearts from the red construction paper.
  2. Cut four strips from the pink construction paper.
  3. Accordion fold the pink strips.
  4. Glue a small heart to the end of each pink strip.
  5. Glue the other end of the pink strips to the large heart.
  6. Draw a face on the large heart with markers.

Craft/Activity 3: Thumbprint Heart Hs

Materials

  • Letter H template (http://www.quality-kids-crafts.com/support-files/letter-h-template.pdf)
  • Blank paper
  • Red paint
  • Scrap cardboard

Directions

  1. Print the letter H template onto the blank paper.
  2. Pour some red paint onto the scrap cardboard.
  3. Press the thumb into the paint.
  4. Press two thumbprints onto the paper to form a heart.
  5. Cover the Hs in thumbprint hearts.

Optional: Set the finished H craft aside to bind into a book at the end of the alphabet lesson.
