    Letter V Preschool Activities

    Objective: To learn about the letter V

    Craft/Activity 1: Little Letter V Book

    Materials

    • Little Letter V Book template (http://www.themeasuredmom.com/rhymes-for-letter-v/)
    • Blank paper
    • Stapler

    Directions

    1. Print the Little Letter V Book template onto the blank paper.
    2. Cut an even line across the center of the page.
    3. Fold the two sheets to make a book.
    4. Staple the book together.
    5. Read the Little Letter V Book.

    Craft/Activity 2: Variegated Vase

    Materials

    • Clean plastic or glass container
    • Colored tissue paper
    • Scissors
    • Glue
    • Water
    • Shallow container

    Directions

    1. Cut the tissue paper into small squares.
    2. Mix some glue with some water in the shallow container to create a thin liquid.
    3. Dip the colored squares in the glue mixture.
    4. Glue the colored squares all over the container.
    5. Use the dried container as a vase. Avoid getting water on the outside of the vase.

    Note: Variegated means multicolored.

    Craft/Activity 3: Vine Vs

    Materials

    • Letter V template (http://www.quality-kids-crafts.com/support-files/letter-v-template.pdf)
    • Blank paper
    • Green yarn
    • Green paper
    • Scissors
    • Glue

    Directions

    1. Print the letter V template onto the blank paper.
    2. Glue a long piece of green yarn on each V.
    3. Cut the green paper into leaf shapes.
    4. Glue the leaves onto the yarn.

    Optional: Set the finished V craft aside to bind into a book at the end of the alphabet lesson.
