Craft/Activity 1: Little Letter Z Book

Materials

  • Little Letter Z Book template (http://www.themeasuredmom.com/letter-z-songs-rhymes-free-letter-book/)
  • Blank paper
  • Stapler

Directions

  1. Print the Little Letter Z Book template onto the blank paper.
  2. Cut an even line across the center of the page.
  3. Fold the two sheets to make a book.
  4. Staple the book together.
  5. Read the Little Letter Z Book.

Craft/Activity 2: Paper Plate Zebra (http://www.funkycrafts.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/IMG_0996-0.jpg)

Materials

  • Paper plate
  • White construction paper
  • Black marker
  • Black paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Wiggle eyes

Directions

  1. Cut two triangles from the white paper.
  2. Paint two smaller black triangles in the centers of the white triangles.
  3. Paint an oval nose on the bottom of the paper plate.
  4. Paint stripes on the sides of the paper plate.
  5. Glue the triangles on top of the paper plate.
  6. Glue two wiggle eyes above the oval nose.

Craft/Activity 3: Zigzag Zs

Materials

  • Letter Z template (http://www.quality-kids-crafts.com/support-files/letter-z-template.pdf)
  • Blank paper
  • Black marker

Directions

  1. Print the letter Z template onto the blank paper.
  2. Draw zigzag lines on the Zs.

Optional: Set the finished Z craft aside to bind into a book at the end of the alphabet lesson.
