The unofficial start of summer is here! My kids and I have already purchased our pool passes for the season. Both my kids have swimsuits, but I needed a new one. Thus, when recently offered the opportunity to review a Roybens retro floral skull one-piece halter swimsuit in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity.

The Roybens retro floral skull one-piece halter swimsuit currently retails for $69.99 with a sale price of $23.99 on Amazon. While the retail price is a bit expensive for my personal taste, but I would definitely pay the sale price for a swimsuit. Other similar halter suits sell for roughly the same sale price, with some a little less and some a little more. I therefore rate the price positively.
Design
Made with 82% polyester and 18% spandex, the Roybens retro floral skull one-piece halter swimsuit features a build-in padded bra and an adjustable halter neck. Adorned with a retro classic floral and skull print, the one-piece swimsuit comes in six sizes that fit women from dress size 4 through size 16. Two layers of fabric guarantee that the suit is never see-through. The swimsuit from Roybens is hand wash cold and line dry.
Performance
I received a Roybens retro floral skull one-piece halter swimsuit in the large size (US 6-8). I am a short woman, measuring almost 5 feet 1 inch. I currently weigh about 108 pounds and wear a size 6. I also wear a 34C bra, but I fluctuate in size a bit because I am breastfeeding. I have a discernible waist and only a little bit of residual jiggle on my tummy from my two pregnancies. This swimsuit fits me perfectly! The material hugs my body comfortably, and the leg holes are not cut too high. The built-in padded bra provides ample coverage and support. The halter ties are long enough to tie in a bow at my neck. I therefore rate the fit of this swimsuit very highly.
When you order one, be sure to measure yourself and select the correct size. Roybens advises against buying too large. However, the sizing appears to run on the small side, so if you are on the larger end of one of the sizes, I would choose the next size up. I am a petite woman, but the US 6-8 size fits me well. If you are slightly bigger than me, the large size might not fit as well. For example, if you wear a dress size 8, I would select the US 10-12 swimsuit instead of the US 6-8. Other reviews on Amazon state the same issue with the sizing. While the large size fits me perfectly, do note that the sizing tends to run small.
In addition to the comfortable fit, I also love the fun, colorful print of my new Roybens retro floral skull one-piece halter swimsuit. When you first glance at the print, you see lots of colors and pretty flowers. Upon closer inspection, you see the skulls. I love that this print combines feminine flowers with edgy skulls. The combination fits my personality perfectly! Additionally, the inside and neck tie fabric is a gorgeous red and blue plaid print. The plaid around the halter line is a fun addition that I love because I love plaid and red. The colors also go well with my long-sleeved UV shirt that I wear to protect my fair skin from the sun. I thus rate the colors and prints of this swimsuit extremely highly.
Finally, the Roybens retro floral skull one-piece halter swimsuit is make with high quality materials that make for a durable swimsuit. The nylon fabric is quite thick, and the double layer really guarantees that the suit is never see-through. With two young children, I need a swimsuit that will hold up to tugging little hands. The stitching throughout this suit is even, and the thread is thick. I also need a swimsuit that provides me with the coverage that I want. The two layers of fabric will allow me to swim confidently with my two little ones all summer. I therefore rate the quality and durability very highly.
Final Verdict
I absolutely love my new Roybens retro floral skull one-piece halter swimsuit! I plan to wear this swimsuit all summer long as I hang out at the pool with my kids. The large size (US 6-8) fits me perfectly. I am quite petite, and the sizing appears to run small, so I would recommend going up a size if you are on the larger size of the measurements. The fun and colorful print combines feminine flowers with edgy skulls, which fits my style and personality perfectly. The fabric and stitching are also high quality, making the suit very durable.
