I am a huge fan of silicone jewelry and baby products. I already own a couple of silicone teething necklaces that my son likes to play with and gnaw on. My son also enjoys chewing on his silicone teething toys, and my daughter has some silicone chew necklaces that she bites instead of her fingernails. Thus, when recently offered the chance to review the silicone teething necklace, teething ring, and pacifier clip from SD Designs in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity.

Teething Necklace
I received the Juliet teething necklace in maroon, which currently costs $14.24. The handmade necklace measures 25 to 30 centimeters around and falls to just below my sternum. The small, medium, and large round and large hexagonal beads come in light pink, maroon, and beige. (Juliet is also available as a custom order in bead colors of your choice.) Knots at both ends of the bead prevent the beads from moving around on the cord. The beige two millimeter silk cord features an iridescent yellow breakaway clasp for added safety. The necklace is free from BPA, phthalates, cadmium, and lead.
I absolutely love my new Juliet necklace from SD Designs. First, I really like the colors of the beads. I wear a lot of red, so the beige, maroon, and light pink beads go with a huge portion of my wardrobe. My daughter also likes the pink and tries to borrow my necklace from me! The breakaway clasp is very sturdy but unsnaps when my children pull too hard on the necklace. I especially like the knots at both ends of the beads. Some of my other teething necklaces have loose beads that move around on the cord, which really annoys me at times. The beads on my SD Designs necklace remain perfectly in place because of the knots.
In addition to Juliet, SD Designs also currently offers over a dozen other necklace designs. I actually had quite a difficult time choosing my favorite before I settled on Juliet. I also really like the Lily in red and the Zara. You can also request custom necklace orders.
Teething Ring
I received the giraffe silicone teething ring in mint, which currently costs $13.45. The handmade teething ring features small and medium gray beads, beige and mint hexagonal beads, and a mint giraffe on a mint silk cord with a white breakaway clasp for added safety. The fun giraffe teething ring is the perfect toy for teething infant or toddler. The clasp allows you to clip the ring onto a car seat, baby carrier, stroller, diaper bag, and more. Knots at both ends of the beads prevent the beads from sliding around on the cord. The teething ring is free from BPA, phthalates, cadmium, and lead.
My toddler son loves giraffes, so he excitedly exclaimed, “Whoa!” as soon as he saw his new teething ring. In addition to the mint, the giraffe silicone teething ring from SD Designs is also available in turquoise, fuchsia, gray, and pink. Like the silicone necklaces, you can also request custom designs. My son loves gnawing on the large giraffe as he relaxes on the couch next to me in the evenings. The back of the giraffe offers a bumpy texture, which he quite enjoys. He also like chewing on the beads, especially the hexagonal beads. I appreciate the breakaway clasp, which helps prevent strangulation and allows me to attach the ring to any number of objects.
In addition to the giraffe, SD designs also currently offers elephant, anchor, star, and cookie teethers. I am partial to the cookie teethers, which feature a fun black and white cookie pendant. Yum!
Pacifier Clip
I received a silicone pacifier clip in sky blue, which currently costs $9.10. The handmade pacifier clip measures 11 to 12 inches in length. The sixteen medium and large beads come in beige, ivory, dark blue, and light blue. The metal clip safely attaches to clothing or any other fabric material to help prevent pacifiers from falling on the ground. A knot before the loop in the gray cord keeps the beads from sliding around. SD Designs also offers pacifier clips with star pendants. The pacifier clip is free from BPA, phthalates, cadmium, and lead.
Neither of my kids used a pacifier, but the silicone pacifier clip from SD Designs would have been perfect had my daughter or son used one. The metal clip attaches securely to any fabric. Dropped pacifiers hang from the end instead of falling to the ground. The silicone beads are a fun touch. Teething infants and toddlers can play with and chew on the soft beads for added comfort. My son has snatched the clip from me a few times, trying to chew on the silicone beads.
Cleaning
To clean any of the silicone toys and jewelry from SD Designs, hand wash each piece with mild dish detergent and lay out or hang up to dry. Cleaning before first use is recommended. I have also placed mine in the top third utensil rack of my dishwasher without any problems. The teething ring also went through the washing machine once and survived unscathed. As with any product meant for babies, check each piece frequently for wear and tear. Discard the product if damaged in any way.
Final Verdict
I love silicone jewelry and baby products, and I am thoroughly impressed with my new silicone teething necklace, teething ring, and pacifier clip from SD Designs in Canada. The handmade designs are reasonable and comparably priced. All silicone pieces are FDA-approved and BPA-free. The designs are also free from phthalates, cadmium, and lead. I love the colors of the three pieces that I received, and you can request custom colors and designs. The necklace and teething ring feature breakaway clasps for added safety. My toddler son really loves his new giraffe silicone teething ring, which made him exclaim, “Whoa!” I also appreciate that knots at both ends of the beads prevent the beads from sliding around on the cords.
