Seedling DIY Galaxy in a Jar Review

Seedling DIY Galaxy in a Jar Review

My kids and I love making crafts and doing hands-on activities together. I love spending a few hours at the craft and dollar stores stocking up on supplies for engaging and creative projects. I also love DIY activity kits that make crafting with my children so much easier. When recently offered the chance to review an activity from Seedling in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity. I chose the DIY Galaxy in a Jar because my daughter is a little bit obsessed with space at the moment.

Evaluation

When my 5-year-old daughter saw the DIY Galaxy in a Jar from Seedling, she immediately wanted to do the new craft with me and her brother. What I like about the activities from Seedling is that all the materials are included in the kit. The DIY Galaxy in a Jar came with all the materials needed to make an adorable space diorama. My toddler and kindergartener had a great time making the galaxy in a jar together. I worked on folding the glitter into the air dry clay while my kids decorated the wooden pieces. I then assisted with mounting the pieces and the sticker stars. I did find that I needed some addition hot glue to point the hanging pieces and the stickers because the adhesive was not very strong. Overall, however, my kids and I had a great time working on the DIY Galaxy in a Jar from Seedling together!

Final Verdict

Seedling offers hands-on projects for kids as young as 3 through 8 years and older. The kits are a perfect addition to the art activities that my children and I do during homeschool lessons. Prices range from as little as $5 or under to an average of $25 to $35 per kit. I usually spend around $25 on craft materials every time I head to the dollar or craft store, so I find the prices for the complete kits comparable and reasonable. The DIY Galaxy in a Jar was super fun for my kids and I to make together on a rainy day. I am definitely impressed with Seedling and recommend the store to other parents who are searching for creative ideas and activities to do with their kids!
