Spring is right around the corner! Once the weather gets warmer, my kids and I love heading outside into our yard. While my children play, I enjoy tending to my gardens. Both my kids also like “helping” me with gardening. With two little helpers following me around, I always seem to find myself in need of more gardening tools. When recently offered the chance to review the Solid G houseplant mini garden tools set at a deep discount in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity.
Price and Design

The set includes a rake, trowel, and transplanter in miniature sizes that are perfect for use in terrariums, bonsai, and window boxes. Each mini tool measures approximately 9.5 inches in length. The small set is also suitable for younger children.
Evaluation
Aside from doll accessories, the houseplant mini garden tools set from Solid G is the smallest set of gardening tools that I have ever used. The trowel and transplanter measure a mere 9.5 inches in length while the rake is an itty bitty 9 inches. If you are working in a small space with small plants, the three-piece set is absolutely perfect. The teeny trowel and transplanter are also useful for working with seedlings because of the miniature sizes of the blades.
In terms of quality, the metal portions of each tool are extremely sturdy. The metal handle does not bend, even when you try to force the material over. If you really try, you can bend the heads of each tool, much in the same way as you could a spoon or other piece of cutlery. However, under normal use, the metal does not bend. The red plastic grips offer a comfortable handhold. The end of the grips feature holes for easy hanging storage.
Final Verdict
If you do a lot of small scale gardening with seedlings or houseplants, the houseplant mini garden tools set from Solid G is the set of gardening tools for you. The set includes a rake, trowel, and transplanter in miniature sizes that consist of metal with plastic grips on the handles. The trowel and transplanter measure 9.5 inches in length while the rake is 9 inches. All three tools are sturdy and withstand the wear and tear of normal use. The set of miniature garden tools is also perfect for little helpers in the garden!
