Because my daughter sleeps for up to thirteen hours at night without a diaper change, I am always looking for better overnight nighttime cloth diaper solutions for her. The first overnight diaper that I ever used on her was a Blueberry pocket diaper with two Blueberry bamboo inserts and one microfiber insert. Once I decided that I did not want to wash my cloth diaper stash every day, I also began using a FuzziBunz pocket diaper and a Happy Heinys pocket diaper stuffed with either two four-layer microfiber-bamboo inserts from Alva Baby and one three-layer bamboo insert from Alva Baby or two four-layer microfiber-bamboo inserts from Alva Baby and one microfiber Stay Dry insert from Best Bottom.
Although the combination of the two four-layer microfiber-bamboo inserts from Alva Baby and one microfiber Stay Dry insert from Best Bottom worked great, the resulting diaper ended up being extremely bulky. Thus, when I got my most recent order from Sunbaby that included the Sunbaby bamboo inserts, I decided to try a new combination of overnight inserts.
My most recent overnight nighttime cloth diaper solution is two three-layer bamboo inserts from Sunbaby sandwiched between two four-layer microfiber-bamboo inserts from Alva Baby stuffed in my Blueberry pocket diaper. The resulting diaper is much thinner because the Sunbaby bamboo inserts are so thin. Plus, I do not have to give up one of my Best Bottom inserts, which I prefer to use on my daughter during the day.
Although I had tried a Sunbaby diaper before, I had used only a microfiber insert from the company. As far as China cheapies go, I really love the Sunbaby brand. However, when my most recent order arrived, I was surprised at how thin the bamboo inserts are. When I started using the Sunbaby bamboo inserts in my Sunbaby pocket diapers, though, I was extremely impressed. In fact, aside from my Blueberry bamboo inserts, the Sunbaby bamboos are my absolutely favorite cloth diaper inserts. Using two per daytime diaper gives my daughter superior absorbency but without a bulky bum!
If you are in need of a trim but absorbent insert, then I highly recommend the bamboo inserts from Sunbaby. Combined with a blend or a microfiber insert, Sunbaby bamboos work great both during the day and for overnight use.
