Taggies Tag ‘n Go Cart Cover Review

Taggies Tag 'n Go Cart Cover on Shopping Cart

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I scoffed at the idea of a shopping cart cover. I would simply clean the shopping cart seat with a wipe before putting my daughter in. However, then I actually tried putting my daughter in a shopping cart. She immediately slipped down from a seated position and started screaming. Thus, when I came across the Taggies Tag ‘n Go Cart Cover on sale at Babies”R”Us, I decided to buy one to try. After all, I was not paying full price, so why not?

The Taggies Tag ‘n Go Cart Cover was one of the best purchases that I have made for my daughter. First, using the cart cover while out and about is incredibly simply. To install the shopping cart cover, I simply place the cover over the seat of the shopping cart and thread the cart straps through two holes on the back of the cover. An additional strap goes around the leg divider on the cart for added security. I then put my daughter in the cart, secure both the cart straps and the cover straps around her, and get on with my shopping. Putting her in the shopping cart seat with the cover is extremely easy.

She no longer slides down and is dangling from the seat by her crotch. The straps on the shopping cart keep her from falling out of the cart while the straps on the cover keep her from sliding down. With the Taggies Tag ‘n Go Cart Cover, I know that my daughter is safe and secure while she and I are out shopping.

In addition to the added security of the security belt and straps of the Taggies Tag ‘n Go Cart Cover, I also love that the padding on this shopping cart cover keeps my daughter from banging the back of her head against the hard metal seat of a shopping cart. When she was younger and still wobbly while sitting, she would smack her head against the back of the shopping cart, which would, conceivably, make her cry. With the shopping cart cover, the metal back of the seat is covered, so, when she does jerk backwards now, she hits her head against soft fabric instead of hard metal.

When my daughter gets bored, she will play with the taggies for a little bit before having a meltdown. I also love that I can attach a toy through the loop formed by the taggies. I can confidently bring a toy into a store, knowing that my daughter will not lose her toy somewhere on the floor.

Finally, I love that the Taggies Tag ‘n Go Cart Cover doubles as a highchair cover. In fact, my husband and I have used the cover as a highchair cover more often than as a shopping cart cover. When my daughter was younger, especially, the cover was a lifesaver in restaurants when she was still learning to sit up in a highchair on her own. Even now that she is almost ten months old, we still keep the Taggies Tag ‘n Go Cart Cover in the van in case we need it when we go out.

Final Verdict: I highly recommend the Taggies Tag ‘n Go Cart Cover, which doubles as both a shopping cart cover and a highchair cover. With the security belt and the protective fabric of the Taggies Tag ‘n Go Cart Cover, I feel confident putting my in a shopping cart or a highchair. If you are looking for a cover, then I cannot recommend the Taggies Tag ‘n Go Cart Cover any more highly.
