In 2011, Vinci introduced the Tab, a child-friendly Google Android tablet device that provides educational and fun software for children. Now the company has announced the Vinci Tab II, another Android tablet that offers a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor, 8GB of storage (expandable through a built-in MicroSD card slot), and the ability to use WiFi connectivity.
The Android tablet features a seven-inch display with 800 by 480 pixels of resolution and comes preloaded with educational software, interactive storybooks, and even animated music videos. The company also offers purchasable apps, which can be downloaded via WiFi or using the devices microUSB port for the non-WiFi version of the tablet.
To make the tablet more kid-friendly, Vinci highly customized the Google Android platform for ease of use. The tablet has also been child safety-certified.
The Wi-Fi version of the Vinci Tab II can be picked up for $249 while the non-WiFi version is just $199. The Tab II is already available at Walmart and Toys”R”Us stores, and Diapers.com will begin selling the device in June.
