Week Four of the Click, Color, Capture Photography Challenge: Green

Click, Color, Capture Photography ChallengeGreen is the color for the fourth week of the Click, Color, Capture Challenge hosted by East9thStreet, A Helicopter Mom, Nap Time Is My Time, and Sunshine and Sippy Cups. Instead of my usual Wordless Wednesday posts, I am currently spending ten weeks taking part in this photography challenge. The Click, Color, Capture Photography Challenge challenges bloggers and photographs to take a picture each week featuring a single color. Feel free to join in the challenge as well!

I love Christmas. During the days before Thanksgiving, I set about decorating my home in Christmas splendor, which includes stringing Christmas lights throughout each and every room. My daughter was born on December 12, so her first weeks of life were very well lighted because of my Christmas decorations. And we soon discovered that she too loves Christmas lights just like her mother. Because she loves the lights so much, I have yet to take down a single strand. And, in particular, my daughter loves a green light hanging above one of the doorways in our hallway. When she is fussy, all we have to do is show her the light and she instantly quiets down. For my green photograph of the week, here is Greenie the Christmas light:
