While taking my daughter for a stroller ride and my dog for a walk the other day, I brought along my camera in search of something orange to photograph. The winter season can be rather drab in my neck of the woods, so I knew I would have an interesting time finding any color at all on my walk. However, as I turned a street corner, I noticed an orange ribbon tied to an orange wooden stick next to an orange caution cone. The orangeness of the warning signal stuck out against the barren winter landscape. I also wondered what exactly I needed to watch out for. (As I discovered, the problem was a broken fire hydrant.) Here is my orange photograph:
