Performance
I am quite pleased with my new orange non-slip silicone round placemats from Yilove. First, I absolutely love the color. I use warm colors like red, orange, and yellow in my dining room décor. My wallpaper has sunflowers against red, and my favorite tablecloth is yellow, orange, and red plaid. The orange color of these placemats looks perfect against the tablecloth and in my dining room in general. If you are not a fan of orange or have a different color scheme, you can also get these round placemats in blue, pink, or green.
I am a huge fan of silicone in my kitchen. I love that silicone is heat-resistant, non-slip, water-resistant, and dishwasher-safe. Because I want to preserve my wooden kitchen table for as long as possible, I am very careful about putting hot dishes down, even with a tablecloth. I use hot pads as a barrier whenever I set a hot dish on the table. With these round silicone placemats, I do not have to worry about plates getting too hot and causing damage to the wooden tabletop. The heat-resistant silicone acts as a protective barrier between the plate and the table. The silicone also grips to the tablecloth as well as to dishes, so plates, bowls, and cups stay put better. While the square plates fit okay on the round placemats, I personally would prefer a rectangular placemat. The round shape leaves little room for additional bowls and cups compared with a rectangle. I simply prefer rectangular placemats, so my complaint about the shape and size is one of personal preference rather than an issue with the product.
