Easter Handprint and Footprint Craft: Bunny, Carrot, and Chick

For Easter, make a beautiful bunny, carrot, and chick keepsake craft with your kiddos from handprints, footprints, and fingerprints using nontoxic paint.

Materials

  • Blue, white, orange, green, yellow, and brown nontoxic paint
  • Blank paper
  • Paper plate or scrap cardboard
  • Cotton balls

Instructions

  • Pour some blue paint onto the cardboard.
  • Use a cotton ball to create a thin layer of blue paint on the bottom of your child's right foot.
  • Press the footprint onto the paper with the toes pointing down.
  • Wash the paint off your child's foot.
  • Use a cotton ball to create a thin layer of blue paint onto one of your child's fingers.
  • Press two fingerprints onto the paper directly above the heel of the blue footprint to form bunny ears.
  • Wash the paint off your child's finger.
  • Pour some yellow paint on to the cardboard.
  • Use a cotton ball to create a thin layer of yellow paint on your child's palm.
  • Press the handprint onto the paper with the fingers pointing up.
  • Wash the paint off your child's hand.
  • Pour some orange paint onto the cardboard.
  • Use a cotton ball to create a thin layer of orange paint on the bottom of your child's left foot.
  • Press the footprint onto the paper with the toes pointing up.
  • Wash the paint off your child's foot.
  • Use a cotton ball to create a thin layer of orange paint on your child's thumb.
  • Press the thumbprint onto the paper in the center of the palm of the yellow handprint to form the chick's beak.
  • Wash the paint off your child's thumb.
  • Pour some green paint onto the cardboard.
  • Use a cotton ball to create a thin layer of green paint on your child's palm.
  • Press the handprint with the fingers pointing up onto the paper directly above the toes of the orange footprint.
  • Wash the paint off your child's hand.
  • Pour some white paint on to the cardboard.
  • Use a cotton ball to create a thin layer of white paint on your child's thumb.
  • Press the thumbprint onto the paper in the center of the sole of the blue footprint to form a bunny tail.
  • Wash the paint off your child's thumb.
  • Pour some brown paint on to the cardboard.
  • Use a cotton ball to create a thin layer of brown paint on your child's thumb.
  • Press four thumbprints onto the yellow handprint to form the chick's eyes and legs.
  • Wash the paint off your child's thumb.
