Parents are being urged to check recent plush toy purchases after a recall was issued for two popular clip-on stuffed animals sold at Hobby Lobby.

The recall affects the Giraffe Plush Toy with Clip and Llama Plush Toy with Clip, which can shed small beads if their legs detach, creating a serious choking hazard for babies and young children.

Why These Plush Toys Are Being Recalled

According to the recall notice, the legs on both plush toys can detach from the body. When this happens, small beads inside the legs may spill out. For families with infants or toddlers, those loose beads pose a choking risk if they end up in a child’s mouth.

So far, there has been one reported incident involving a leg detaching and beads being released. No injuries have been reported, but the recall was issued out of an abundance of caution due to the potential hazard.
