Disney has unveiled a new trailer for Hexed, offering families a closer look at the magical world of its upcoming animated fantasy adventure. The film is scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on November 25, 2026, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
According to Cartoon Brew, the extended trailer reveals more of Hexe, a fantastical realm filled with unusual creatures, colorful environments and elaborate magical effects. The footage also explores the family secrets behind teenage protagonist Billie Doe’s supernatural abilities.
The new preview promises a coming-of-age story combining comedy, adventure and family relationships. Its magical setting and relatable themes could make Hexed an appealing option for families seeking an original animated movie.
Meet Billie, Her Mother and an All-Star Voice Cast
Hexed follows Billie, an unconventional teenager who discovers she has magical powers. After entering Hexe, she teams up with her cautious mother, Alice, to uncover family mysteries that could transform the witching world.
Hailee Steinfeld voices Billie, while Rashida Jones plays Alice. Oscar-winning actor Jodie Foster voices Queen Celeste, a powerful witch determined to protect her position, and Walton Goggins lends his voice to Beef Roger Crummchuk, a sarcastic, three-eyed cat who becomes Billie’s reluctant magical mentor.
The Animation Magazine report highlights the film’s expanded magical mayhem and colorful fantasy elements. The voice cast also includes Tracey Ullman and Stephen Fry, adding more recognizable talent to Disney Animation’s original adventure.
How the New Trailer Differs From Earlier Hexed Footage
Unlike the first teaser, which introduced Billie and hinted at her unusual abilities, the new trailer offers a more detailed look at the story’s magical mythology. It reveals that Billie’s mother used a gemstone bracelet to suppress her daughter’s powers from infancy.
The latest footage also introduces more of Hexe’s inhabitants and places greater emphasis on Queen Celeste’s threat. Viewers get a clearer sense of the obstacles Billie and Alice will face as they navigate this unfamiliar world.
As Gizmodo notes, the new preview reveals where Billie’s magic comes from and expands the mother-daughter adventure. With more creature comedy, visual spectacle and family mystery, Hexed is shaping up to be a magical new chapter for Disney Animation.
