Gameloft has officially launched its brand-new video game, Bluey’s Happy Snaps, releasing worldwide on October 15, 2026. Developed in collaboration with Ludo Studio and BBC Studios, the title brings the beloved Australian series straight to modern consoles and PC. Families can purchase the standard digital or physical edition for $39.99 USD.
Players will find the game widely available across major gaming platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The title also supports Xbox Play Anywhere and launches day one on Xbox Game Pass. This broad availability ensures kids can easily join Bluey and Bingo’s latest adventures.
“BLUEY’S HAPPY SNAPS invites children and families to play, explore, and capture moments in a photo-powered adventure,” says Marina Mello, BBC Studios’ Global Director of Gaming & Interactive. The interactive design strives to extend the heart and warmth fans love from the animated television show.
Interactive Modes and Creative Exploration
In Bluey’s Happy Snaps, children explore recognizable Brisbane locations using Dad’s old camera to snap photos and complete a custom scrapbook. Up to two players can participate together in local co-op, interacting with fan-favorite characters like Muffin, Coco, and Winton. In-game activities also include iconic mini-games directly inspired by the show, such as Shadowlands and Magic Potion.
Independent developmental research highlights the positive impact this open-ended design has on young gamers. A review led by Professor Daniel Johnson of Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and the Digital Child described the game as an exemplar of developmentally enriching digital play. The research noted that the game strongly supports children’s autonomy, competence, and creativity through meaningful choice.
Gameloft Brisbane Studio Manager Manea Castet explained that the developers wanted to inspire imaginative play both on and off the screen. “Between chasing bin chickens or playing a game of taxi using things lying around the house, we hope that the fun they find in the game inspires them to keep playing off-screen,” Castet shared.
Deluxe Editions and Physical Activity Bonuses
For families seeking extra content, Gameloft offers several Deluxe options packed with fun digital and physical goodies. Digital Deluxe upgrades feature exclusive dress-up outfits for Bluey and Bingo, a Digital Deluxe artwork album, and the “Here come the Grannies” bonus game content. A limited-time preorder offer grants the Deluxe Edition content at the $39.99 USD standard price.
Physical retail editions provide additional tangible activities designed to encourage healthy screen time limits. Standard physical copies ($39.99 USD) come packaged with six physical activity cards. Meanwhile, a special $49.99 USD Activity Book Edition includes a 44-page book filled with drawing pages, simple activities, and extra sticker sheets.
These physical bonuses offer seamless ways for parents to transition their children from digital play to real-world creativity. With an E for Everyone rating, the title stands out as a safe, family-friendly choice for young gamers. Families can check their local video game retailers or visit the official game website to secure their copy.
