A mom of six angered her date after she packed restaurant leftovers for her children during a first date.
The TikTok video, which gained widespread debate, was shared by the account @ultimatebykomi.
After the man is heard asking in the background, “What’s that?” the woman replied, “I’m just taking the leftovers home for my kids for tea tonight.”
Their first date ended in an argument. She explained to her date that she intended to take the remaining food home for her children after he asked, “Did you know you were gonna bring some leftovers home?”
Woman Poured Leftover Food into a Clear Container
In the video, the woman was dressed in a white lace top and appeared to be sitting at a restaurant table with a man.
She packed the food and said, “Just in case there’s any leftovers at the end. I thought I’d just pack it up and take it home for my kids tonight.”
After hearing this, the man reacted with outrage.
“Whoa, woah, woah, woah, woah. No, I’m thinking you knew you would have leftovers. Otherwise you wouldn’t have brought the Tupperware,” he said.
The woman also challenged her date with a response, asking, “That’s not very nice, is it?”
To which he countered that it was not nice for her to go on a date “just to get leftovers.”
Woman Defends Her Move Saying She Paid More For Babysitting
According to the video, the man argued with the woman, saying he had only agreed to pay for their meal and not for her kids.
“I’m paying for us to have something to eat. I ain’t paying for your kids,” he added.
The video was narrated and showed on-screen text revealing that she declined the man’s invitation for their date four times before coming. It also confirmed that the man paid for the entire meal.
“I’ve got six kids. What do you expect me to do? It’s expensive feeding them in the summer holidays!” she is heard saying.
She described financial pressure, adding, “Like I said, I paid for a babysitter all day to come on this stupid date with you.”
Meanwhile, the narrator of the video further added that the babysitter’s fees exceeded the cost of the meal they had on their date.
Notably, their date concluded with the man saying, “Get a job!”
In the video, the narrator is aslo asked the viewers, “Did he overreact?”
