A woman shared a video from her gynecologist visit and raised questions about patient privacy.
TikTok username @mnicole855 shared a short video after spotting a CCTV camera right outside her gynecologist’s window, outside the door.
“I’m hoping the camera was off..? #gyno #fyp #pov #yikes,” the woman wrote.
After the woman was done with her check-up, she realized the top part of the door to the room was actually see-through glass.
This video circulated online and gathered 1.6 million views. 2.1K TikTok users commented on the post and over 12 K reshared it.
What Did The Video Capture

The woman, believed to be from Arizona, shared in her video that she noticed a security camera positioned right outside a gynecologist exam room after finishing her appointment.
“POV: Just finished my well woman check up,” a text read on her video.
The video captured a check-up bed, a side table with medical supplies, the upper portion of the exam-room door with a glass that could be seen through and a surveillance camera positioned in the hallway outside that very room.

Notably, the TikTok video does not confirm whether the security camera had any view inside the examination room or whether the female patient’s privacy was compromised.
The video also did not capture the name of the medical facility. The location of the facility was also not confirmed.
The Video Raised Security Questions For Women Visiting Their Gynecologist

After the video was shared, it alarmed many viewers. The comments were filled with concerns for women’s privacy.
“Why is there even a window?” a TikTok user commented.
“TAKE A PICTURE AND GET AN ATTORNEY,” another urged the woman to take legal action.
A user suggested, “I guarantee you the camera was not off…please get a lawyer.”

Meanwhile, as the security camera was located outside the consultation room, some users claimed that perhaps the CCTV camera wasn’t on.
“Even if those cameras cannot see in, out of respect for the patients, there should be blackout curtains,” a user wrote.
After the woman shared a glimpse of what the room looked like, another person wrote, “There should have been a screen covering that window. This is crazy.”
Other users expressed privacy concerns and suggested the woman take legal pathways to pursue this further.
