Something sweet is baking as WildBrain unveils Strawberry Shortcake’s Bake Shop, a brand-new CG-animated web series debuting this fall. Fans can catch the two-episode premiere on October 16 on the official Strawberry Shortcake channel within the WildBrain Network on YouTube. The 26-episode season, which features 3-minute episodes, will continue to roll out over the following year.

The fresh series welcomes families into a reimagined world that merges 1980s nostalgia with a modern digital look. Designed primarily for kids ages 4 to 8, the show also welcomes adult fans craving a joyful slice of nostalgia. Viewers around the globe can easily tune in on digital platforms to enjoy the new adventures.

As Daisy Wall, WildBrain’s VP of Content and creative lead, stated in WildBrain’s Press Release: “Strawberry Shortcake’s Bake Shop opens up a fantastical world that feels both wonderfully familiar and completely new”. She added, “This series does what Strawberry has always set out to do: bake the world a better place, one sweet treat at a time”.

Inside the Bake Shop: Friends, Fun, and Music

The series follows Strawberry Shortcake as she manages her cozy bakery, hosts friends in her upstairs apartment, and throws sunshiney garden parties. Her loyal “Berry Besties” are constantly swinging by to lend a hand, sample treats, or simply share a laugh. Alongside her faithful cat Custard, Strawberry navigates sweet moments and the occasional frosting fumble with warmth and humor.

Audiences can look forward to a vibrant lineup of friends and heartwarming stories grounded in grit, determination, and kindness. In addition to colorful baking mishaps, the 26-episode series will introduce 8 new original songs to inspire children to sing along. The show captures a delightful blend of neighborhood community spirit and lighthearted comedy.

A Berry Beloved Legacy Across Generations

Strawberry Shortcake first originated in the 1970s as a character on a simple greeting card before evolving into a global phenomenon. The iconic 1980s iteration—complete with her signature bonnet, curly red hair, and scented dolls—captured the hearts of millions worldwide. Over the decades, the beloved pop-culture figure has starred in multiple animated specials and series spanning 4 generations of fans.

By returning Strawberry to her classic strawberry-shaped home in Berryville, the new series honors over 40 years of brand history. WildBrain continues to expand this sweet universe through digital content, consumer products, and live experiences. Her message of kindness and laughter ensures her timeless legacy will continue to flourish.
