The birds are back, and this time they’re bringing their families along for the ride! Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 3, giving fans another look at the beloved animated characters as they prepare for their biggest adventure yet. With returning voice actors, new celebrity additions and a holiday theatrical release, the third installment is shaping up to be another fun family movie.

The latest trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 3 offers audiences a fresh look at the upcoming animated comedy. The movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 23, making it a potential holiday-season outing for families.

The trailer features the new song “Sun Showers” by BLACKPINK singer JISOO, adding a musical element to the colorful adventure. According to Animation World Network, the film is directed by John Rice, with DNEG Animation handling the animation.

Jason Sudeikis Returns With an All-Star Voice Cast and New Story

Jason Sudeikis returns as Red, alongside Josh Gad as Chuck, Rachel Bloom as Silver and Danny McBride as Bomb. The new movie also features Emma Myers, Walker Scobell, Keke Palmer, Lily James, Tim Robinson and Psalm West, who makes his voice-acting debut.

The story introduces Red and Silver’s growing family, with Red discovering that being a father might be his biggest challenge yet. The new adventure combines the familiar comedy and chaos with the responsibilities of parenthood.

Red must balance raising his three children with protecting the island from a threat that could destroy their home. The trailer promises plenty of slapstick humor, family antics and action as the birds work together to save their world.

The Success of ‘Angry Birds’ Movies and Video Games

The upcoming sequel builds on an enormously successful entertainment franchise that began with the original Angry Birds mobile game in 2009. The simple concept of launching birds from a slingshot to defeat egg-stealing pigs became a worldwide phenomenon, spawning multiple games, merchandise, animated series and movies.

The first two films, released in 2016 and 2019, earned more than $500 million combined at the worldwide box office. According to Rovio’s franchise statistics, the mobile games have also surpassed five billion downloads worldwide, demonstrating just how popular the characters have become.

As UPI reports, the third installment continues the adventures of Red, Chuck and Bomb, whose rivalry with the pigs helped establish the franchise. With a new generation of characters and a fatherhood storyline, the latest movie hopes to introduce the Angry Birds to even more families.
