The long, hot days of summer are quickly approaching. To help your little reader prepare for the changing of the seasons, try reading some summer-themed books. Not only would it be a great evening activity, but they will also learn a lot of new things.
But, yes, first make the environment welcoming for the kids, so that they are all ears when you are reading out the lines from a book. And given how easily they get distracted, arranging a reading session in the living room with a TV may not be a great idea. You can instead set up a reading session in the garden area of your house, where they can also get the warmth of the summer sun.
In fact, you can set up a little summer house, such as those offered by Scotts, where you and your little one can spend some quality time. With a setting like this, your toddler is certainly going to have the best reading times.
Now coming to the list of books that will soon become the best friends of your kid. My daughter and I recommend the following board books for summer for toddlers. (Post contains affiliate links.)
