Cheesy Chicken Strips Recipe

My kids love chicken strips! Although I usually pop my favorite whole-grain breaded chicken from the freezer in the oven for a quick meal, sometimes I like to make a dish with a little bit more of a homemade touch. My cheesy chicken strips are easy to make and huge hits with my little ones (and husband)! The entire recipe provides around 1165 calories, with a high protein content of 113 grams, moderate fat content of around 45 grams, and 72 grams of carbohydrates.

Chicken, particularly the lean, boneless, skinless breast, is a highly nutritious source of protein that is low in fat and calories. The nutritional profile of chicken makes the meat an excellent choice for those seeking to build muscle or maintain a healthy weight. It is rich in essential amino acids, which are crucial for muscle repair and growth. Chicken also provides important vitamins and minerals such as B vitamins (particularly niacin and B6), which support energy metabolism, and selenium, a mineral that plays a role in immune function. Additionally, chicken is versatile and can be included in a variety of dishes, including my cheesy chicken strips.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cheese-flavored crackers
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil

  10. Refrigerate any uneaten cheesy chicken strips.
