For Ciara, the most attractive quality in husband Russell Wilson has nothing to do with his NFL legacy or his new career in broadcasting. It is the way he shows up every day as a father to their four children.
Speaking to E! News at Uber’s The One Party in New York City on June 12, the Grammy-winning singer made her feelings clear. “I always tell him [that] the sexiest thing about him is watching him be a father to our babies,” Ciara told E! News at the event. “He has the biggest heart.”
A Family Built On Love And Commitment
Ciara and Russell Wilson are approaching their 10th wedding anniversary this July. Together they have three children, Sienna Princess Wilson, 9, Win Harrison Wilson, 5, and Amora Princess Wilson, 2.
Ciara is also mom to son Future Zahir Wilburn, 12, from her previous relationship with rapper Future. Russell has embraced the role of stepfather wholeheartedly, and both he and Ciara spoke openly about what that bond means to their family.
Ciara described her husband’s dedication to fatherhood as “a beautiful thing to see,” calling him “pretty amazing” at the role. She also noted that “He’s like Superman to us in the house and we all want a piece of Dad.” Russell, for his part, was equally candid about how much stepparenting has shaped him as a person.
“One of the things I’ve realized is the biggest gift that I’ve been given is being a stepdad,” he told E! News. “When you can love somebody that’s biologically not yours, but you love them as if they are, that’s the greatest blessing. That’s the greatest love. And Future has been amazing. He’s the best kid in the world.”
Four Kids, One Team
Russell described all four children as “amazing” together, noting that Future has naturally stepped into a leadership role among his younger siblings.
Sports have become a central thread running through the family’s daily routine. Russell told E! News that Future gravitates toward baseball and football, Sienna has shown off a powerful swing at the plate, and Win has channeled his energy into boxing.
Russell has also been intentional about nurturing Future’s athletic ambitions beyond the backyard. Earlier this year, he brought the 12-year-old on a tour of the University of Texas’ athletic department.
“He’s so talented. He’s so good at basketball, football and baseball,” Russell said about Future’s athletic potential in a March interview with E! News. “So, to be able to take him to a school where he would dream about playing?” Russell added that he sees a bright future for the teenager regardless of which sport he ultimately pursues.
The Secret To Nearly A Decade Of Marriage

With their 10th anniversary on the horizon, both Ciara and Russell reflected on what has kept their relationship strong. Russell credited faith as a cornerstone of their bond. “God is a lot of that,” he told E! News at the June 12 event.
“A lot of Jesus, a lot of prayer, a lot of quality time, date nights.” Ciara added her own philosophy, emphasizing that “communication rules the nation” and that the two of them work at it every single day.
Russell recently transitioned out of professional football and announced he is joining CBS Sports as an analyst, closing one chapter and opening another. The career shift means more time at home, something the whole family appears to welcome.
In a culture that often celebrates athletes for their on-field achievements, Ciara’s comments serve as a reminder that what resonates most deeply within a family is presence, not performance.
Russell Wilson’s willingness to speak openly about the gift of stepparenting, and to invest visibly in all four of his children’s lives, reflects a model of fatherhood that many parents, blended families included, will find genuinely inspiring.
As their marriage nears the 10-year mark, the Wilsons offer a portrait of a family that has clearly made intentionality a daily practice.
