New Year’s Wreath Craft

New Year's Wreath Craft

With Christmas over and the New Year approaching, I am working on putting away my Christmas décor while putting up some new festive pieces. I am also absolutely obsessed with making wreaths for each holiday and season of the year to hang around my house. I recently acquired some black and gold washi tape that works perfectly for New Year’s crafts. After wrapping the tape around a foam wreath, I added some black and gold crafts stick stars and some star sequins to make two festive wreaths for the New Year.

Materials

Instructions

  1. Wrap the washi tape around the foam wreath.
  2. Glue five craft sticks into star shapes using the hot glue.
  3. After the glue dries, paint the craft stick stars with gold and black acrylic paint.
  4. After the paint dries, glue the gold and black stars onto the taped foam wreath.
  5. Weave the silver glitter ribbon through the stars and around the wreath, securing the ribbon to the back of the wreath with hot glue.
  6. Tie and glue a piece of ribbon around the foam circle from which to hang the wreath.
  7. Attach the star sequins to the wreath with hot glue.
  8. Display the New Year’s wreath craft.
