Things are about to get wonderfully odd once again, and Parenting Patch has an exclusive first look. Fred Rogers Productions is bringing back the fan-favorite, multi-Emmy-winning series Odd Squad for a brand-new season starting April 6 on PBS KIDS, and we are kicking things off with an exclusive clip from the new season.
Co-created by Tim McKeon and Adam Peltzman, the latest season of Odd Squad UK introduces new agents, inventive gadgets, and delightfully strange cases while continuing to teach core math concepts like spatial sense, mapping, and fact families. Designed for kids ages 5 to 8, the series follows a team of young agents who solve bizarre problems using math, teamwork, and critical thinking.
Each episode reinforces the idea that numbers are not just useful; they are the key to solving even the oddest challenges. For parents watching alongside their kids, the show also helps take the intimidation out of math and encourages learning together. The series is best suited for kids ages 5 to 8 and carries a TV-Y rating, meaning it is considered appropriate for all children and a safe, educational pick for family viewing.

The blend of humor, storytelling, and math-driven problem-solving continues to make Odd Squad one of the most engaging educational shows for kids, while keeping parents just as entertained.

Why My Kids Love Odd Squad
My kids are naturally drawn to the weird, unpredictable world of Odd Squad, where anything can happen and usually does. The show leans into humor, quirky villains, and over-the-top situations that feel more like a comedy adventure than a lesson, which keeps my kids engaged from start to finish.
While the show targets younger viewers, my 11-year-old son also loves its quirky nature, making it a nice watch for both younger and slightly older viewers.
For kids in that 5 to 8 age range, it hits a sweet spot where the humor lands, and the challenges feel challenging but still achievable.
Why You’ll Love Odd Squad As A Parent
This series makes sure your child is actively learning without it feeling like school. Each episode builds problem-solving skills through math concepts that are woven directly into the story, helping kids see how numbers apply to real situations.
Whether it is cracking codes, spotting patterns, or figuring out how to fix something gone wrong, the learning feels like part of the mission, so parents can rest assured that, in true PBS KIDS and Fred Rogers Productions style, there are strong elements of learning going on as your children watch a screen.
If you’re trying to teach your children about strong teamwork skills, the agents of Odd Squad rely on each other, think through problems together, and show that mistakes are just part of figuring things out.
