Put Me in the Story 'Dream Big, Princess: Belle's Special Edition' Book Review

Although I have never encourage the idea of the princess with my daughter, she has become obsessed with princesses recently. I have begun to allow her to watch some Disney princess movies including Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Pocahontas, and Aladdin. She also loves reading books with princesses. When recently offered the chance to review a personalized hardback copy of Dream Big, Princess: Belle’s Special Edition written by Annie Sarac from Put Me in the Story in exchange for my honest opinion, I eagerly accepted the opportunity to add a new title to my home library.

Evaluation

My daughter loves princesses at the moment, so she was super excited to receive her personalized copy of Dream Big, Princess: Belle’s Special Edition. I customized the book with her name and photo and with a special dedication from me. Her picture appears at the beginning and end of the book and on the back cover. My dedication is at the front of the book. Her name appears throughout the book, and the gift-giver message “With love from Mommy” appears on the front cover. The personalization throughout the entire book makes the gift so much more special for a little girl (or boy) who wants to be a princess.

As soon as my daughter say her copy of Dream Big, Princess: Belle’s Special Edition, she immediately started flipping through the pages and reading the information. She has been watching some Disney princess movies and reading the accompanying books. With her new personalized book, she has also been learning more information about each princess, which she absolutely loves. She also likes the sections in which she can fill in her own information. She loves practicing her writing skills and is thrilled to fill out her hopes and dreams as she pretends to be a princess herself.

In terms of physical quality, I am quite pleased with Dream Big, Princess: Belle’s Special Edition. The binding of the hardback book is very sturdy, and the matte pages are quite thick. The book has already withstood the wear and tear that my daughter (and her baby brother) have put it through. My only complaint is that the pages are giving off a slightly unpleasant odor, which I attribute to the glue or ink. Hopefully the smell will dissipate with time. Overall, however, I am certain that this personalized book will last for years to come based on the high quality materials and construction.
