Parents who grew up with Strawberry Shortcake may want to get ready for a serious nostalgia trip. The beloved character is returning in Strawberry Shortcake’s Bake Shop, a brand-new CG-animated series that just unveiled its latest trailer.
The 26-episode series premieres October 16 on the official Strawberry Shortcake YouTube channel through the WildBrain Network. Created for kids ages 4 to 8, the three-minute episodes are designed to deliver quick doses of friendship, fun and, naturally, plenty of baking.
The first two episodes will arrive on premiere day, with additional episodes rolling out over the following year. The trailer also gives longtime fans a first look at updated CG versions of Strawberry and her Berry Besties.

So, what’s Strawberry Shortcake up to this time? She’s running a neighborhood bakery in Berryville, where friends including Orange Blossom, Blueberry Muffin, Huckleberry Pie, Raspberry Tart and Apple Dumplin’ drop by for baking adventures and everyday fun.
The show promises plenty of the friendship and community-focused storytelling parents associate with the franchise, along with eight original songs. And because each episode is only three minutes long, it could be an easy fit for families looking for a quick show to watch together.
“Fans love Strawberry Shortcake because of the warm memories of childhood the brand evokes,” WildBrain franchise executive Ben Peace said, while noting that both longtime fans and a new generation continue to discover the character.
Why Strawberry Shortcake Keeps Coming Back
There’s a reason Strawberry Shortcake has managed to stick around for so long. The character was originally created in the 1970s and has since expanded far beyond her beginnings, appearing in animated entertainment, toys, consumer products and digital media.
And the timing of the new series is no accident. WildBrain is building toward Strawberry Shortcake’s 50th anniversary in 2028, with the company continuing to expand the franchise into new categories and partnerships.
According to WildBrain, Strawberry Shortcake has already entertained four generations through animated content. That makes Bake Shop more than another new kids’ show: For parents who remember Strawberry from their own childhoods, it could be a particularly sweet way to share a familiar favorite with their kids.
