Rejoice, US parents and kids alike! Disney+ has confirmed that a smattering of new Bluey Minisodes will arrive on May 20th.

The minisodes, produced by Ludo Studio, use a shorter format than regular episodes, but still pack in the laughs and fun. These Minisodes have never aired outside of Australia and with titles like “Humpty Dumpty,” “Green Bottles,” and “Flying Saucer,” they promise some big excitement for the Heelers. Minisodes titled “Tea Party,” “Pea Pod Sausages,” “Old Macdonald,” “Honk,” “Lollipop Song,” “Cinderella,” and “Make Mum Laugh” will round out the release.

But that’s not all!

Along with the new Minisodes, Disney+ audiences will be treated to a TV-version of the stage play “Bluey’s Big Play.” Featuring an original story written by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, the show has toured Australia, and Disney+ hopes this release will do for kids what its release of a TV version of the stage production “Hamilton” did for parents.

But What About The Blue Movie? Or Bluey Season 4?

Ludo and Bluey have set a full table for the property that has become the pinnacle of kids’ entertainment over the last five years. An official, feature-length Bluey movie has been announced with a potential worldwide release in August of 2027. The film will be produced by Ludo Studio and partner BBC Studios. Not much is known yet, but it’s speculated the film could see a departure from the 2D animation of Bluey and embrace a new 3D CGI style.

As for those looking for more full-length episodes of Bluey, there’s a little less good news. Joe Brumm has announced that he is stepping away from the show he created to focus on the film and his new animated series for adults, Deano, which is coming out on Hulu. As to who’s taking over the helm of Bluey in his absence, no one as he been named, putting Bluey Season 4 questions on hold.

Don’t Worry There’s Still A Lot of Bluey

While Bluey’s TV future is somewhat unclear, Bluey, Bingo, and Mom & Dad have grown beyond the Silver Screen. Official Bluey Lego books and sets debuted in 2025, and Bluey and friends have even invaded the world of the popular sandbox game Minecraft. The 2023 game “Bluey: The Videogame” is also still available across most major platforms, and Bluey’s first vinyl record release, “Bluey: Up here,” featuring 17 brand-new recordings, will be available at the end of March 2026.

Bluey characters are also appearing at Disney Experiences and Theme Parks. “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” will launch at the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland Park in Anaheim later in March. The show converts the theater into a Fun Fair at Bluey’s school, where both Bluey and her sister, Bingo, will appear throughout the day for comedic performances and songs with musicians.

All 154 Bluey episodes and 21 minisodes are available now to Disney+ subscribers.
